Watch Taylor Whip Out Martial Arts Tricks in This Never-Seen 'Abduction' Clip

When he wasn't getting steamy with his costar (and former girlfriend) Lily Collins on the set of Abduction, Taylor Lautner was whipping out his extreme martial arts moves for his stunts.
Yes, he did almost all of his own stunts. Pretty hot, we know.
And it seems like the big heads on set were impressed with the Twilight actor's skills...
E! News got hold of an exclusive clip from the movie's DVD bonus features (on sale Jan. 17), and producer Pat Crowley shared what brought the 19-year-old to his attention.
"I remember hearing about Taylor's physical abilities, and someone said, 'Oh well go onto YouTube,' and there was something Taylor did when he was 11 years old..."
Crowley is referring to this video, which shows a young Lautner tricking at the 2003 World Series Martial Arts. It's pretty hard-core. Along with some Mortal Kombat-ish music in the background and Taylor's intense-yet-cute yelling, we see the then-preteen flip, kick and land in splits. That probably explains why he was the "best in the world."
"It comes in handy, it helps a lot with all the physical stuff," Taylor said. "But even more, it taught me a lot of things at a young age—discipline, hard work—nothing comes without hard work. But for the fight scenes and all that, I'm able to pull some moves out of the old extreme martial arts bag.

The 20 Sexiest Screen Couples of 2011

As the year draws to an end, we can't help but reflect on all the memorable movies and stand out performances of 2011. But nothing made our hearts skip a collective beat like the actors who scorched up the big screen with their scintillating romances this year.
Whether it was teen newlyweds who brought new meaning to the idea of everlasting love, best friends who finally gave in to their undeniable feelings or superheroes who couldn't resist the magnetic pull of attraction, these couples had it bad for each other, and we for them. Take a look at the 20 sexiest cinematic couples of 2011.

20. Rupert Grint & Emma Watson, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II'

We know "sexy" and "Harry Potter" aren't usually used in the same sentence outside of fan fiction, but in the saga's final film, moviegoers were finally treated to the sight of Ron Weasley (Grint) and Hermione Granger (Watson) resolving years of pent up sexual tension with one magically climactic snog.

18. Amanda Seyfried & Shiloh Fernandez, 'Red Riding Hood'

The most memorable part of Catherine Hardwicke's period paranormal romance is the animal attraction between Seyfried and possible werewolf Fernandez. Between his smoldering intensity and her bright-eyed beauty, their on-screen make-out sessions steam up the woods.

16. Taylor Lautner & Lily Collins, 'Abduction'

After years of watching Lautner's broody Jacob Black pine for Bella in the "Twilight" series, it's refreshing to see the hunky star finally get the girl (the lovely Collins). That scene on the train alone -- when Lautner literally sweeps Collins off her feet -- qualifies as one of the best kisses of 2011.

15. Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon, 'Water for Elephants'

Oh the angst -- the heartbreaking angst, and few young actors handle it as sexily as R.Pattz. As an orphaned college dropout who runs away with the circus, Pattinson's young Jacob falls desperately in love with the show's married star, played by the blonde and beautiful Reese Witherspoon.

9. Jennifer Lawrence & Michael Fassbender, 'X-Men: First Class'

We know Lawrence's Mystique spends the majority of the prequel pining for James McAvoy's Charles Xavier or flirting with Nicholas Hoult's brainy Beast, but the blue sparks don't start to fly until she finally hooks up with Fassbender's Magneto. Young mutant love has never looked hotter.

4. Henry Cavill & Freida Pinto, 'Immortals'

Look at them! They're too good-looking for words, these two – particularly when they're clad in gauzy ancient Greek costumes that show off their godlike bodies. It's a shame Pinto's virgin priestess Phaedra loses her powers after an unforgettable night with Cavill's Theseus, but we're sure he was worth it.

3. Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1'

After three movies of pent-up longing and waiting, audiences finally get to see Bella (Stewart) join her dazzling Edward (Pattinson) at the altar. At last, Bella and Edward do what honeymooners do -- and that extended skinny-dipping, bed-breaking, chess-playing, lovemaking sequence is a Twi-hard's dream come true.

'Abduction' to debut on video-on-demand in December, prior to DVD release

abduction.jpg
Taylor Lautner's "Abduction" will be available on demand soon - prior to its DVD release.
The Grand Rapids-born actor's first stab at being an action star, and his first-ever above-the-title marquee movie, is getting a two-week release via most major cable and on-demand services, from Dec. 22 to Jan. 4. A featurette on the film will also be available.
You'll be able to officially own "Abduction" two weeks later, on Jan. 17, when it hits stores on DVD and Blu-ray. For bonus features, the disc will include three featurettes and a gag reel; the Blu-ray will boast an exclusive "enhanced viewing application" that features a deeper look at the film, its cast and characters.
The on-demand release will likely draw in a little extra revenue for a film that underperformed at the box office. It debuted in Sept. to a paltry $11 million opening weekend, and finished its brief theatrical run with a $27 million domestic gross. It performed significantly better overseas, to the tune of $53 million. The film's production budget - which notably does not include marketing and distribution expenses - was $35 million.
This doesn't hold a candle to Lautner's claim to fame, the "Twilight Saga" films. The latest chapter, "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," has already amassed more than $500 million worldwide in less than two weeks in release.
Perhaps the discrepancy in performance has to do with the critic-proof qualities of "Twilight" - it performs despite getting almost universally hammered by reviewers. Surprisingly, "Abduction" was hit even harder by critics, and it ended up with a ghastly 4 percent on the Tomatometer over at Rotten Tomatoes.
