MTV Breaking Dawn Pt2 First

 more after jump

Bella Takes A Whiff Of Jacob In Exclusive 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Clip

Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson debut a sneak peek during 'MTV First: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.'

Bella may have lost her mortality when she became a vampire during the closing moments of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but she gained so much in return: super speed, super strength and...super smell.
The bloodsucker's real-life alter ego, Kristen Stewart, along with co-starsTaylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, stopped by MTV on Thursday (November 1) to debut an exclusive clip from the film franchise's long-awaited finale — a clip that demonstrates just how keen the noob vampire's nose truly is.
The bite picks up as Bella and Edward — following a refreshing run through the forests of Forks — arrive back at the Cullen compound where Jacob greets them.
"I didn't expect you to seem so you...except for the creepy eyes," Jacob jokes. Bella tells him to stay back because, you know, she might be tempted to eat him. When he says it will be safer for the baby if she acclimates to him first, Bella seems confused as to why he would care for Renesmee's well-being, but Edward and Jacob share a knowing look. (Oh imprinting!)
The werewolf again prods Bella to get close, telling her to "take a whiff."
"Well, I can see what everyone's been talking about," she says with a smile. "Jake, you really do stink."
Cue Edward, who nuzzles his vampire bride — a sweet gesture that doesn't go unnoticed by Jacob, who finally offers, "You guys really do look great together." We agree, Jacob.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," directed by Bill Condon, hits theaters November 16. In the meantime, be sure to cast your vote for the No. 1 "Twilight" character in MTV News' epic Twi-Fight Saga. Only seven vampires and one human remain!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Covers EW

imagebam.com

This Week's Cover: 'Twilight' Exclusive -- Director Bill Condon on the scandal. Plus: Fall movie preview!

It’s been — let’s just say —an eventful couple of weeks for Team Twilight. Bella and Edward may find eternal, immortal bliss in Breaking Dawn — Part 2 (out Nov. 16), but costars and (only recently confirmed) couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are having a much harder time since incriminating photographs of Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, surfaced late last month. “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Bill Condon tells EW. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

But beyond the intense media and public scrutiny into these young actors’ private lives, the turn of events also creates a real challenge for Summit, the studio releasing the film, as it gears up to promote the final installment. In other words: what happens during an international press tour and red carpet premiere when the two top-billed stars may or may not be speaking to each other? Nancy Kirkpatrick, the company’s head of worldwide marketing, tells EW, “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead.”
In more innocent times (read: a month ago), the Twilight stars sat down for a roundtable interview and talked about the film, the ending of the series, and what they’ve learned from the Twilight experience. Pattinson marvels at Edward’s unflappable ability to stay rational. “It’s strange,” he says with a laugh. “All through the series it’s like, ‘Hey , this guy is trying to be sensible! Let’s think this thing out.’ And everyone is like ‘F— you’”.
Stewart presses him, curious to know what he learned from playing the role.  ”Don’t be pragmatic. Be an emotional idiot.”
Of course Breaking Dawn—Part 2 is just one of the season’s anticipated films. Our annual Fall Movie Preview delves into 97 more.
Some highlights:
  • In the Wachowskis’ first print interview in about a decade, they discuss how they came to work with Tom Tykwer — and to co-direct Cloud Atlas as a trio. “We wrote every line together. We planned the shoot together, did the schedule together, and cut every single frame together. And whenever we could shoot together, we did,” says Lana Wachowski. They also discussed what it was like to work as Andy and Lana instead of Andy and Larry. “We’re brother and sister,” says Andy. “I mean, it’s different in the way people perceive it. But the set is our set, and we run it like we always run it.”
  • Lincoln director Steven Spielberg dismisses reports that Daniel Day-Lewis dug so deeply into character while playing the title role that he didn’t acknowledge the modern world. “Daniel was always conscious of his contemporary surroundings,” says Spielberg, though he admits he did refer to the actor as “Mr. President” on set. “I was calling [all] the actors by their character names.”
  • Ben Affleck talks about the shaggy haircut he sported in the 1970s-era real-life drama Argo, which he also directed: “That was one of those things where the leader has to go first. If I’m going to ask other people to have really humiliating ’70s hair, I had to be the first one. It was pretty chic, but I couldn’t wait to cut it off.”

Something Twilight... From Guri

Where have I been? I ask myself this question every day, recently. At the risk of sounding unnecessarily dramatic, I have been involved in the longest, most challenging, scariest project I have ever undertaken. I have sacrificed and sweated and agonized - for good reason. Most of the folks involved are above my pay grade. And it's been a secret. Soon, I will return to "TwiMadness' with a vengeance…for now, just another blog post about my nutty Twilight experiences.
I get asked 3 questions all the time. Hard as it may be to believe, I have a few anecdotes in reply:
What's it like working with Stephenie Meyer?
Stephenie's success is just staggering and I am pretty sure many would and probably did feel intimidated around her. Here's the secret about Stephenie that I accidentally discovered, though…she is normal. REALLY normal. And funny. But mostly normal…like the kind of person you'd hang out with. Just to shoot the shit.
At first, I was pretty shy…for me. And nervous - I met Stephenie AFTER I'd been cast when some of us were called down to Baton Rouge for a make-up/wardrobe test before shooting began. So, I didn't know how she felt about me or my choices for Stefan. I mean, I know if she would have HATED my audition tape, I wouldn't be there but you know, maybe she was just like "Eh…Guri…whatever…thank GOD we also got better actors…"
When I finally met her in Baton Rouge, I was already in costume and make-up. I shook her hand and she said, "You are EXACTLY how I pictured Stefan" and smiled. And I relaxed. Like a baby, actually. In fact, I wet my pants…not really. Okay, a little.
So, from that point on, we just clicked. We chatted a lot and some folks that hadn't quite figured out the 'normal' part about her were speculating as to what she had to say and if there was any 'Twilight' secrets she shared. I actually had some folks come up to me asking, "What do you talk about?" So, as a public service, I would like to disclose one of our 'top secret' conversations now. I think the one that sums it up best is this story :
On set, there were different 'video villages' which are areas with monitors displaying different camera angles and chairs huddled around. It was a bit tense on set as we were behind schedule. However, I'm just an actor in a VERY silly mood and so I go find Stephenie…'cause her village was down like that.
"Guuuuurrrrriiiiii….how are ya?"
"Bothered, Stephenie."
"What's wrong?", she asks, all sincerely.
"Where are the Jewish vampires, Stephenie? Not ONE Jewish vampire?!?"
She laughs. "Because it goes against everything Judaism is about, GURI."
"I don't think you're seeing it. See, if there were some Jews in the vamp camp, we could sidestep all battles in favor of negotiation…plus, I think the vamp world needs a good kosher deli…"
Now, I notice Lily Collins there. She's laughing at my stupid Jewish vampire joke, so I immediately like her. And to the fans that are trying to stir up competition between the two Snow White movies, IMHO, they are VERY different films, they BOTH look great and I am a fan of BOTH actresses.
Back to the day. So, Stephenie is telling me about 'The Hunger Games' and what a great book that is and then we discuss the sacrifices we will all be making that night, as shooting is going to go LATE. I mention that I am VERY distressed that I will be missing my new favorite show, 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'. My wife's agitated and colorful commentary after each episode is just nothing short of priceless. But, that night, alas…no RHOBH. Stephenie doesn't even know the show and I'm aghast. Lily is also aghast. I look at Lily, who I now see is an incredibly astute young woman with FINE taste in reality television and we high five. We then describe the show to Stephenie by acting it out. She seems unimpressed by the show yet oddly adamant that we keep discussing our viewpoints about it with her. Oh! Right - and then Stephenie makes fun of me AD NAUSEUM for watching it. Not Lily, she got off scott-free for her allegiance to RHOBH. Just me. Whatever.
So, now everyone knows. Jewish vampires and the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are excellent examples of the scintillating, exclusive topics Stephenie and I discussed.

MTV: Which 'Breaking Dawn' Scenes Could Use A Revamp?

In light of the news that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are headed back to the "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" set for a few re-shoots, this week's Twilight Tuesday posed the question: If you could have any scene in any of the previous films re-shot, which one would you revamp? (Pun intended!)
As always, the members of the knowledgeable and passionate "Twilight" fan community responded to the query with gusto. Some folks want to see extended versions of their favorite scenes, some are still displeased with the book-to-film adaptation in certain areas and some requested they re-shoot entire films altogether. But there are two scenes that a majority of fans agreed could use a makeover: the meadow scene in "Twilight" and Edward and Bella's reunion in "New Moon." Here's a sampling of our favorite responses and suggestions:
@: The meadow scene. It was THE ONE scene they had to capture perfectly (it was Steph's dream) and it's really bad.
@: Eclipse- Bella getting on Jake's bike in the school parking lot. Never shoulda happened.
@: The scene where Bella kisses Jacob in Eclipse, instead she would just push him off the mountain.
@: Edward and Bella's reunion in New Moon. Wish it was more like the book version. Too short and passively handled in the film. I'm not a fan of how Melissa Rosenberg writes Edward & Bella scenes. Their reunion in her bedroom (New Moon) felt very rushed.
@: The meadow scene by far. It's the most important scene in Twilight and was completely botched in the movie. Huge disappointment.
@: The Twilight scene when the "bad" vamps crash the game and Cullens get defensive. Liked at first but now I giggle every time!
@: Twilight's meadow scene. Wasn't how I imagined it. I wish they added the Twi lunch scenes between Ed/Bella too...
@: "I know what you are." "Say it." "Vampire." Such bad acting.
@: Good LORD that heinous "Wolves at the lumbermill" scene from Breaking Dawn. The Eclipse Forest Frolic is a close second.
@: Bella's speech at the end of Eclipse and her riding away with Jacob on the motorcyle. Both scenes were ridiculous and horrible.
@: New Moon - the post-Italy scenes. In the book it's so swoonily romantic...in the movie it's just dull.

A Production Update From Bill Condon

Hello Twihards!

Greetings from Los Angeles, where we're hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It's truly crazy to think that it's been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.

A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece - each shot, no matter how brief - needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we'll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots - the last tiny missing pieces. We're not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.

I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I've made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time...

I'm excited to report that before too long we'll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters -- they're unlike any "Twilight" images you've seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the
final film will be yours!

Until then, have a very happy spring, and I'll check back in with you soon.

Best wishes,
Bill

Maggie Grace Talks LOCKOUT, TWILIGHT, TAKEN 2, DECODING ANNIE PARKER, and More

Luc Besson’s new sci-fi thriller, Lockoutis a fun and exciting ride set in the not too distant future. Maggie Grace plays first daughter Emilie Warnock who is leading a humanitarian mission to MS One, an experimental prison in space. When a violent intergalactic mutiny unexpectedly sets loose 500 of Earth’s most dangerous psychotic criminals, President Warnock sends in the falsely convicted Agent Snow (Guy Pearce) to rescue her in exchange for his freedom. Living up to his irreverent reputation, Snow pushes all of Emilie’s buttons, but Emilie proves she can give as good as she gets and together they make a formidable team.
At the press day for Lockout, we sat down with Grace at a roundtable interview to talk about what attracted her to the role of Emilie.  She told us why she loves her action films served up with humor and how she enjoyed taking on the physically demanding role that involved sophisticated action scenes and a combination of stunts, combats and wire-work.  She discussed her training with stunt coordinatorPatrick Cauderlier, her fun relationship on set with Pearce and their collaboration on the film’sCasablanca-inspired final scene, and why running in spacesuits presented some unusual challenges.   Grace also talked about her upcoming projects: Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2Taken 2 and Decoding Annie Parker, plus why she’d like to do a romantic comedy.
What are you working on next?
GRACE: I have Twilight and Taken 2, which we just finished a few weeks ago. I’m excited about those. And a little indie called Decoding Annie Parker. I’m excited to be shooting in LA soon. It will be a nice change.

Could Hunger Games Could Dethrone Robsten For Best Kiss? Josh Hutcherson Weighs In

We’re still enjoying this little breather in between awards season madness and summer blockbusters, but our own Kate Spencer already has the MTV Movie Awards on her mind — specifically, the Best Kiss Golden Popcorn, which has been dominated by Kristen Stewartand Robert Pattinson for three years now. When she got a minute with Hunger Gamescutie Josh Hutcherson at the NewNowNext Awards, she gave him the toughest of tough questions: Will Katniss and Peeta’s cave kiss rival any of Bella and Edward’s from Breaking Dawn – Part 1?
“I don’t know, they had a great kiss,” he admitted. “Theirs was so passionate. Ours was like, I was on my deathbed, wasn’t very sexy. I don’t know, we’ll see. Maybe. I’d be so lucky. One can only hope.”

We applaud his honesty — and wonder whether the kisses in Catching Fire will give Jennifer Lawrence and Hutcherson, and Jen and Liam Hemsworth a bit more of a competitive edge in the awards game (though Twilight will no longer be in the running by then). Regardless of who wins this year, all this speculation just got us really excited for June 3, when the Movie Awards will air live from Los Angeles.
