Bella's Parents' Murderous Pasts! The 'Twilight'-'24' Connection

At Bella and Edward's wedding in 'Breaking Dawn Part 1,' Bella's dad, Charlie Swan (Billy Burke), makes a somewhat-threatening toast, where he mentions he's very good at hunting people down -- if necessary. Edward, heed those words! Long before Burke played Kristen Stewart's loving dad and small-town sheriff in the 'Twilight' franchise, he was on the other side of the law as a brutal wife-murderer in '24.' As for Bella's doting mom, Renee (Sarah Clarke)? She was only Jack Bauer's most deadly nemesis.

Lionsgate Schedules the Removal of Billy Burke for January
You’ve seen him play a weary dad whose daughter is dating a vampire in the Twilight movies and a rock-a-billy satanist in Drive Angry 3D. Come January you’ll get to see Billy Burke as a carpet cleaner on the verge of insanity in Removal, co-starring Elliot Gould, Emma Caulfield, and Kelly Brook.
After witnessing a friend’s gruesome suicide, things haven't been the same for Cole. He is being tormented by what appear to be hallucinations. After working several double shifts, Cole thought things couldn’t get any worse – until he’s called out to an all-night carpet cleaning job for a man named Henry, who leads him to believe he has just killed his wife. As he hurries to clean the place, Cole’s hallucinations start to interfere, and the horrid truth that unfolds will leave you begging for it to stop!
Billy Burke stars in Nick Simon’s psychological spine-tingler alongside Mark Kelly (Dead & Breakfast), Oz Perkins (Dead & Breakfast), Emma Caulfied (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Kelly Brook (Piranha 3D), and Oscar-nominated actor Elliot Gould (MASH). Oz Perkins, Nick Simon, and Daniel Meersand share the writing credits.
Lionsgate is set to release Removal on DVD and VOD January 3rd. The DVD will include a deleted scene, an alternate opening, and a gag reel.
Have a look at the trailer below.

Billy Burke Joins Freaky Deaky Cast
Freaky Deaky Ditches Big Names And Goes With Christian Slater
You’ve heard of tyrant bosses cleaning house by firing everyone and then hiring on a bunch of interns willing to work for cheap, and the situation with Freaky Deaky doesn’t sound much different.
Brendan Fraser, Matt Dillon, Craig Robinson and Katie Cassidy have been removed from the cast to be replaced by Billy Burke, Christian Slater, Michael Jai White and newbie Breanne Racano respectively. However, it isn’t mentioned atVariety if the shake up came at the behest of director Charles Matthau, or if the actors just walked away. The new set of actors will certainly cost less, but at what cost to the film? Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about Billy Burke. As far as I’m concerned, he’s the only reason to see Twilight. But Christian Slater and Michael Jai White are grasping at straws, and Breanne Racano’s resume is shorter than mine.
Given the action comedy nature of the film, maybe the rookie director will be better off working with people more willing to bend to what he’s looking for than someone like Matt Dillon, who seems like he could be a diva.
Also added to the cast was Roger Bart, a veritable “that guy” who you’ve seen in places like Law Abiding Citizen and 30 Rock. His comedic style can definitely be put to good use here.
Freaky Deaky, adapted from an Elmore Leonard novel, sounds like something out of a MadLib. An LAPD cop uncovers a group of hippies who are planning on using bombs to extort millions from a movie mogul. ZANY! The whole idea makes me sad that the hilarious Craig Robinson won’t be a part in this anymore, but Michael Jai White could definitely channel Black Dynamite and play a pretty amazing member of the Black Panther Party.
