Eonline: The Twilight Saga's Five Sexiest Scenes...So Far
Holy Edward Cullen! The Breaking Dawn premiere is one week away, Twi-hards. Time flies when you're lusting over an impending honeymoon scene, right?!Which, we know, is the real reason you're all anxiously awaiting the flick. If you've seen the movie's trailer, then you know that the sexiest Twilight stuff is yet to come (more than just dawn is breaking in this installment—Robert Pattinson is busting headboards, too!).
But while the world waits to see Edward and his human honey, Kristen Stewart, get down and dirt, we're getting a little bit nostalgic and counting down the five steamiest Twilight scenes to date:
1. Meadow Makeouts! Forget the pretty flowers and whatnot in the original Twilight, all we could focus on was that passionate kiss between Rob and Kristen Stewart's onscreen counter parts: Bella and Edward (duh). As all the fans will tell you, this is a pretty crucial part of the Twi novels, and its onscreen counterpart did not disappoint.
2. If the Tent Is a Rockin'… It just wouldn't be fair if Edward got all the action, would it? Well, in Eclipse, Taylor Lautner's Jacob gets some much needed lovin'! A freezing cold Bella gets warmed up by the hunky werewolf since Edward's icy vamp self cannot help. And let's not forget about Lautner's line in the scene, "Let's face it, I am hotter than you" (OK, some of the Twilight flicks do have good lines).
3. Sweet, Sweet Prom Night Kisses: While we usually wouldn't celebrate a way innocent prom night (in the first Twi film), we swooned when Edward kissed Bella's neck while the two got their slow dance on! Sure, it wasn't bedroom biz like their first kiss, but we're pretty sure Twi-hards will agree that they nearly died during their sexy gazebo smooch.
4. Six-Pack Attack! You know what we're talking about. You also know that you shared a collective gasp of excitement with all other New Moon moviegoers when Taylor first took off that T-shirt to reveal his buffed-up werewolf abs. Seriously, you don't have to be Team Jacob to appreciate Tay's bangin' body. And it was the only good part of that movie, let's be honest, shall we?
5. Save the Best for First: But the winner is...Bella and Edward's super-hot first kiss in Twilight! Come on, you knew that one was coming. A late-night surprise visit that's sealed with a tender, unbearably drawn-out smooch? And K.Stew isn't wearing pants at the time? Heck, yes! It did win an MTV Movie Award for best kiss after all...

Twilight-inspired Music Video by Steve Nicks
Stevie's official music video for "Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream)" is out now on YouTube!
Here's what Stevie had to say about the video:
MOONLIGHT (A Vampire's Dream)-- It was 2009 and I was on tour in Melbourne, Australia. I needed to stay awake to avoid jet lag. I went to see the film “New Moon” and then we all sat around and watched the Michael Jackson movie… By then it was midnight and I knew I had to go back and see “New Moon” again. Afterward I started an essay about all the “Edwards” in my life. I thought about all the tales of abandonment and the beautiful love story of Bella and Edward. He’s cursed to live life as a monster but Bella sees through. Yet—he leaves her because he knows that is what he has to do. She sits in her chair for months. I so understood that feeling. We went on to Brisbane and I kept thinking, “Why can’t they be together?” And at that moment, I wrote the song. And the very next moment I said to myself, “I’m ready to make a record now.” Before that I wondered if I would ever make another record but I knew it was time. This is one of my favorite songs on the record. We kept a photo of Bella and Edward on the soundboard while we recorded.

Best 'Twilight Saga' scenes: Vampire baseball!
All three films will be re-released in theaters leading up to 'Breaking Dawn'
Need to brush up on your "Twilight" saga vampire romance before "Breaking Dawn" comes out on Nov. 18?
You can now do just that, big-screen style. Summit Entertainment has announced that it will re-release "Twilight," "New Moon" and "Eclipse" in theaters in the weeks leading up to "Dawn's" premiere. Check your local theaters for exact schedules, but the "Twilight" screenings will start Nov. 1, "New Moon" on Nov. 8, and "Eclipse" on Nov. 15.
To stir your "Twilight" blood further, here are our favorite scenes from each of the films.
Story: Edward and Bella's wedding song revealed'Twilight' The prom, maybe? Are you kidding? VAMPIRE BASEBALL! They even have old-fashioned uniforms and striped socks, and they can play only in thunderstorms because the thunder hides the incredibly loud noise generated when they hit the ball at approximately eight jillion miles per hour. And once the Cullens suit up to toss the ol' horsehide around, whoops, three uninvited vamps show up and start gunning for Bella. But in the meantime, VAMPIRE BASEBALL!
'New Moon' Oh, the Volturi. Forget Bella and Edward and Jacob. I would read an entire series of books just about them. Anyway, Edward thinks Bella is dead so he goes to Volterra, Italy, to reveal himself as a vampire in public, knowing the regal Volturi vamps will have to kill him then. So in the middle of an Italian square full of red-robed extras, he de-shirts, and Bella races across the square just in the nick of time to save him. Team Volturi!
'Eclipse' At long last, Jacob gets a little lovin'. Long story short: Bella is freezing and Edward can't warm her since he's a vampire and is icy cold all the time. So she gets in a tent and snuggles with a shirtless, hunky Jacob. Then while she sleeps, the boys have a taunt-off. It's deliciously sixth grade, and Taylor Lautner looks really good without a shirt.
What's your favorite "Twilight" scene? Tell us on Facebook.

“New Moon” frolic shot was Rob’s idea ...lol
“I can’t stay silent about this anymore,” “New Moon” director Chris Weitz tweeted earlier today, “NM and the frolic…it was Rob’s idea.” The shot Weitz refers to occurs near the end of the film when clairvoyant vamp Alice sees a future vampire Bella frolicking through the woods with Edward. Bella’s skin sparkles conspicuously in the sun and the two seem to run in slow motion.
At the time the film came out, Weitz and other production staff expressed surprise that the shot elicited laughter in theaters. Fans largely viewed what became known as “the frolic scene” to be hokey—the shot was painstakingly blogged and tweeted about in the days following the release of the film.

Harry Potter Most Likely Wont Pass New Moon Sales
Final 'Harry Potter' to Break Midnight Box Office Records
When the dust clears, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" will shatter records for midnight screenings, according to online ticket sellers.
Though its box office haul will be truly magical, it is unlikely that the bespectacled boy wizard will beat the "Twilight" kids. Still, the final "Harry Potter" film is on track to be the No. 2 advance ticket seller of all time behind "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
Fandango announced Thursday that it has sold more midnight and early morning show tickets for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" than it has for the late night openings of any other movie (including “The Dark Knight” and “New Moon”).
Also Read: 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' Racks Up $32M in Advance Sales
On Wednesday, Warner Bros. said the movie had already racked up $32 million in advance ticket sales.
More than 6,000 midnight shows are sold out in advance, Fandango reports. To accommodate Potter-philes, owners are scrambling to post additional 3:00 a.m. showtimes.
For its part, MovieTickets.com reports that "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" has already sold out 60 percent of all midnight shows. The film has sold out 4,500 showings listed on MovieTickets.com.
A senior IMAX executive told TheWrap that Potter pre-sales were "huge." The theater company reports that all of their midnight screenings are sold out, with only a few seats still available for its 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. shows.
That said, it does not look like "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" will unseat "New Moon" as the biggest pre-seller. When the "Twilight" sequel opened in November 2009, it had the box office field more or less to itself, whereas "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" will have to compete with tentpole fare such as "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" to claim its crown.
The Harry Potter finale is performing better in its midnight and early screenings, but "New Moon" had stronger Saturday and Sunday pre-sales, according to Fandango.
Thus far, the Harry Potter films have banked north of $6.37 billion worldwide, making it the most successful film franchise of all time.

Chris Weitz on Twilight Nods, Oscar Hopes, & the Politics of A Better Life
About three years ago, in the same year he landed the gig directing the second film in the Twilight film franchise, Chris Weitz fell in love with a script about a poor illegal immigrant and single father chasing the American dream in East Los Angeles. Entitled The Gardener, the project would feature no stars, shoot on location in gang-affiliated L.A., and would never in a million years enjoy a hundred million dollar opening weekend. Weitz had to do it.

5 Minutes with Eclipse Makeup Artist Leslie Graham
It's been a big few years for makeup artist Leslie Graham. Not only has she made up some of the biggest names in the biz (Tyra Banks and Jamie-Lee Curtis to name a few) she was also responsible for the makeup looks for the vampires on The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, Sucker Punch and Tron: Legacy with pal and mentor Rosalina Da Silva. We were lucky enough to catch up with Leslie to talk vampires and the inspiration behind her favourite beauty looks.BellaSugar: You created some of the looks for the vampires in New Moon and Eclipse — who did you look after and what were the key products you used to create their looks?
Leslie Graham: For New Moon I was brought in to be a personal makeup artist for actor Jamie Campbell Bower, who played the role of Caius (one of the leaders of the Voluturi). For Eclipse I did the makeup for all of the Wolfpack [Alex Meraz, Julia Jones and Chaske Spencer], Jodelle Ferland and some of the newborn vampires. On set I would take care of Dakota and the other Volturi. We did a lot of air-brushing using MAC Micronized Airbrushed Formula to give the "onion" skin tone. It has a little silicone in it, which works to keep the makeup in place as we were often working in the woods and in the rain — vampires in the rain can be quite difficult!
Bella: One of the key looks in the Twilight films is the perfect pale skin — how can we recreate this look without appearing washed out?
LG: I would say go with a colour two to three shades lighter than your own skin tone and apply it with a wide and flat synthetic foundation brush. Make sure you go right down your neck and over your ears and don’t make it too white or too grey — it shouldn’t be "death" makeup, it should be just enough to lighten your own skin tone. Try Revlon Colorstay in a buff, nude or ivory tone, again depending on your skin.
Bella: You also did the makeup for the dancers in Sucker Punch — what were the looks you created?
LG: I did the makeup for the brothel girls and the dancers. I haven’t seen the film yet, but it was amazing makeup — lots of eyelashes. We would "triple lash" the girls using two sets [of false eyelashes] on the top and one along the bottom, plus tonnes and tonnes of makeup and lots of shimmers, body creams and powders.
Bella: When you're creating a look for a movie, where do you draw inspiration for their makeup from?
LG: Often times we'll refer to current trends depending on the script, or we'll look to period makeup. We usually have a collection of resource magazines and books and refer to them, or even past films with a character has inspired us.
Bella: Working on cult films like Twilight often comes with a certain amount of pressure — how do you stay level-headed and focussed?
LG: Breathe. Apart from the fact they're high profile celebrities and actors, we're there to do our job to the best of our ability — we're looking beyond their celebrity status and try to relate to them as a person. The pressures of being on a film set is really about the time restraints because everything is on a schedule and budget and if things take more time, it means more money. We try to touch up [the actors] when we know they are going to be up close on camera to have them camera-ready. You know what they say — once they're shot, it's forever.
Bella: Do you prefer working on a film or creating makeup looks for everyday women?
LG: I've always loved beauty and giving a woman sense of security and boosting their confidence. I like changing their appearance and embellishing the things they don’t know how to embellish and making them more confident to walk out onto the street — it's a gift I want to share.
Bella: How would you describe the signature makeup look you love to create?
LG: I love the 1940s and 1950s — I love doing period makeup because it takes you back and you don’t get a chance to do it very often when working on a film.
Bella: Lastly, what's your number one makeup tip?
LG: Remember to apply powder to cream foundation bases and shadows because if you don’t, you won't have your makeup for very long.

Chris Weitz: ' Why I Went From ‘Twilight’ to ‘A Better Life’
My movie A Better Life is opening Friday against Cars 2, which is kind of like saying my mosquito is fighting an elephant. On steroids. Who’s really pissed off.
To make it worse, I have a 4-year-old son. Do you know what it’s like to have a 4-year-old son? It’s like living inside the movie Cars. Yep, I know where his entertainment dollars are going.
That’s OK, though. I had better get used to our disagreeing. Nature’s common theme is for children not to get what their parents are going on about. And my movie finds its characters, at the outset, at odds.A Better Life is about an undocumented Mexican gardener in Los Angeles and his 14-year-old son. Carlos, played by the great Mexican actor Demian Bichir, is not the guy you ask to trim your hedges—he’s the guy that the guy you ask to trim your hedges orders to trim your hedges. He works hard seven days a week to put food on the table and doesn’t have time to raise his kid on site. This, any sociologist worth his salt will tell you, is a recipe for trouble. The biggest determinant of what will make an at-risk kid lapse into the gang lifestyle is whether there is a parent at home to set them straight.
Luis, played by newcomer JosĂ© Julian, goes to a crappy public school. In East Los Angeles—though we should applaud the many teachers and administrators that are working to change that situation—this is not unheard of. His girlfriend and his best friend are, as my gang- and spiritual-adviser Father Gregory Boyle would put it, knuckleheads. At home, he’s raised by the TV, which tells him that his father is a nobody because they don’t live in a big-ass house.
They are cut off from each other, and cut off from their birthright. Carlos, because he has left his country behind, and all of its traditions—something made painfully clear when father and son find themselves at a charreada, a Mexican rodeo, in the more upscale suburb of Pico Rivera. Luis, though he was born in the United States, feels that the highest he’ll be able to climb up the social ladder is to “wipe tables at Denny’s.”
“I’ve not exactly made my bread from this sort of movie. ”
You can look it up: There are entire towns in the middle of Mexico bereft of men—they’ve all gone north. And the LAPD estimates that there are 22,000 gang members in the metropolitan area.
The gangs are there as a family of last resort for kids who are ready to say “fuck it” and embrace the nihilism that leads to jail and death. And the Migra, or Immigration, is the constant fear of every immigrant trying to make money to keep his or her family together.
Running like a vein of gold through all of this fear and anger is love. The love of parents for children; the love that compels men to cross the border to send money home to support the families they hardly ever see; the love that makes Carlos take a tremendous risk to try to lift his little duo out of poverty.

I’ve not exactly made my bread from this sort of movie. I started with pie-molestation and proceeded through a CGI-talking-animal phase with The Golden Compass before I rode the teen-vampire wave to box-office hypertrophy with The Twilight Saga: New Moon. So there was some work to be done. When I began working on this movie, I started studying Spanish. My brain rebelled—the gray matter might be custardy, but it is particularly crusty around the language center for me. Every once in a while, I would turn the radio to the Mexican stations—KRCD, KXOL, KBUE, and 101.9 La Nueva, with the redoubtable PiolĂn, the most popular radio host in the entire country. (Did you know that? I didn’t.) I couldn’t stand the music—formulaic wheezing and cackling, and the seemingly ever-present accordion, a German heirloom that almost negates the wonderful lager.
But what I started to realize, as my vocabulary improved, was that it was all about the lyrics; and that in the light of the lyrics, the keening sorrow of the vocals made sense. Some of these chirpy songs were about violence and power—Narcocorridos, tales of drug-runners and gunsels, and the almost unspeakable slaughter that has engulfed much of the country since President CalderĂ³n declared “war” on the cartels.
But mostly, the lyrics were all about love. Love of ones left behind, love of country left behind, love of this new country and the chance to stay, against the odds, as the cars pass us by on the corner.

Chris Weitz talks w/ Twilightish.com & other fansites about A Better Life & New Moon
Twilightish, Twilight Moms, Team Twilight, Twilight Lexicon, Twilight Examiner, Twilight Series Theories and Twilighters Anonymous had a chance to chat with Chris Weitz yesterday. Check out what he had to say!
Q: How were you able to get such amazing emotions out of the actors, especially [Jose Julian] – I just
read on his page that he’s never done anything like this before. The movie’s so powerful; how did you
get the actors to portray that on-screen?
Chris Weitz: Well, I mean Demian Bichir is a big actor in Mexico. He’s been in many movies; he’s
incredibly technically accomplished and a brilliant actor so that was never in doubt for me. Of course,
when you’re starting with a newcomer, you don’t really know what you’re going to get, but I think the
thing that we managed to do was to schedule it so that the scenes which he was being a difficult teen
and kind of a pain in the butt were early on, which is kind of easier for a sixteen-year-old actor to go
to, and then the more emotional scenes, by the time we got around to shooting that, he had lived in
our little circus for you know a couple of months. He had learned from Demian; he had learned how to
focus; he had been through all this thinking about things, and so that helped him. And of course acting
with Demian when he’s delivering that sort of final speech in the detention center, I would find it hard
not to convey a hell of a lot of emotion myself.

Rene Haynes and Brooks Robinson Interview
Hard work, grit hallmark of movie business
As Hollywood stars collect Academy Awards next Sunday night, television and film actor Jeff Leaf won't begrudge winners their thank-yous.
That's because each movie and television project typically enlists hundreds of people, Leaf says.
"It's not just Tom Hanks doing it all in the movie," Leaf said.
Leaf, a Great Falls native, and two others who grew up in Great Falls revealed what they like about working in motion pictures. The other two are Rene Haynes and Brooks Robinson. All three live in Southern California but still have relatives in the Great Falls area.
Last year was a fine one for movies, with "The King's Speech," "The Social Network," "The Fighter" and "True Grit" all popping up late in the year. The Oscar show will be telecast at 6 p.m. MST Sunday on ABC.
RENE HAYNES, casting director.
Despite all the glitz of the Oscars, "it really is a myth that this is a glamorous business," said Rene Haynes, whose speciality is casting Native Americans in films and mini-series. "Filmmakers are all very hard-working people who sacrifice a lot for their art."
Haynes enjoyed casting Native Americans for the popular vampire film "Twilight" sequels "New Moon" and "Eclipse," notably as characters that morph into giant wolves. Fans of "Twilight" were enthusiastic.
"It was like being at the center of a really crazy pop-culture cyclone," Haynes said. She's proud of the young native actors she cast for the "Twilight" films, including "great new faces" such as Australian actor Xavier Samuel.
"I am not part of the casting team of the last two films in the series," Haynes said in an e-mail interview. "However, it hasn't stopped the flow of 'Twilight'-related e-mail I get every week, mostly from people that want to know if I can ask Rob Pattinson to attend their birthday party. Sorry; that answer will always be no."
Haynes lately has been casting for the film "Winter in the Blood," based on the James Welch novel, for filmmakers Alex and Andrew Smith, who "have written a great script," she said. More than 500 Montanans have already auditioned, with filming expected to begin during the summer. Haynes said there may be more casting calls; check online by visiting www.winterinthebloodfilm.com.
BROOKS ROBINSON, camera operator.
Robinson, a camera operator for 18 years, says his job beats working in a cubicle all day.
On the other hand, "some days you're out on sand dunes when it's 115 degrees," he said in a telephone interview.
At the moment, Robinson is working in Georgia on a Disney film, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," starring Jennifer Garner. Last summer, he filmed "Water for Elephants," a Depression-era story with a circus setting, featuring Pattinson and Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon.
Predicting whether a film will become a hit or a bomb is not always easy for crew members.
"Sometimes you're pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised," Robinson said. He is convinced "Water for Elephants" will be terrific when it's released this spring.
