The Best Shirtless Movie Moments of 2011
The silver screen got a little steamy in 2011, thanks to some of the hottest guys in Hollywood showing off those long hours they put in at the gym. Superheroes like Captain America and Thor displayed their manly physiques, while other onscreen lotharios like, Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love, took off their shirts in the name of romance. As we look forward to more hotness in 2012, let's take a look back at the best shirtlessmovie moments of 2011.

Breaking Dawn Part 1
Our favorite part about the latest Twilight movie? The fact that Edward (Robert Pattinson) finally feels comfortable with his top off.
Immortals
With a bod like that, it's no wonder Poseidon (Kellan Lutz) can live forever.
Trespass
Though getting kidnapped is never fun, having a shirtless abductor like Cam Gigandet eases the pain a little bit.

The 20 Sexiest Screen Couples of 2011
As the year draws to an end, we can't help but reflect on all the memorable movies and stand out performances of 2011. But nothing made our hearts skip a collective beat like the actors who scorched up the big screen with their scintillating romances this year.

Carrie
Whether it was teen newlyweds who brought new meaning to the idea of everlasting love, best friends who finally gave in to their undeniable feelings or superheroes who couldn't resist the magnetic pull of attraction, these couples had it bad for each other, and we for them. Take a look at the 20 sexiest cinematic couples of 2011.
20. Rupert Grint & Emma Watson, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II'
We know "sexy" and "Harry Potter" aren't usually used in the same sentence outside of fan fiction, but in the saga's final film, moviegoers were finally treated to the sight of Ron Weasley (Grint) and Hermione Granger (Watson) resolving years of pent up sexual tension with one magically climactic snog.
18. Amanda Seyfried & Shiloh Fernandez, 'Red Riding Hood'
The most memorable part of Catherine Hardwicke's period paranormal romance is the animal attraction between Seyfried and possible werewolf Fernandez. Between his smoldering intensity and her bright-eyed beauty, their on-screen make-out sessions steam up the woods.
16. Taylor Lautner & Lily Collins, 'Abduction'
After years of watching Lautner's broody Jacob Black pine for Bella in the "Twilight" series, it's refreshing to see the hunky star finally get the girl (the lovely Collins). That scene on the train alone -- when Lautner literally sweeps Collins off her feet -- qualifies as one of the best kisses of 2011.
15. Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon, 'Water for Elephants'
Oh the angst -- the heartbreaking angst, and few young actors handle it as sexily as R.Pattz. As an orphaned college dropout who runs away with the circus, Pattinson's young Jacob falls desperately in love with the show's married star, played by the blonde and beautiful Reese Witherspoon.
9. Jennifer Lawrence & Michael Fassbender, 'X-Men: First Class'
We know Lawrence's Mystique spends the majority of the prequel pining for James McAvoy's Charles Xavier or flirting with Nicholas Hoult's brainy Beast, but the blue sparks don't start to fly until she finally hooks up with Fassbender's Magneto. Young mutant love has never looked hotter.
4. Henry Cavill & Freida Pinto, 'Immortals'
Look at them! They're too good-looking for words, these two – particularly when they're clad in gauzy ancient Greek costumes that show off their godlike bodies. It's a shame Pinto's virgin priestess Phaedra loses her powers after an unforgettable night with Cavill's Theseus, but we're sure he was worth it.
3. Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1'
After three movies of pent-up longing and waiting, audiences finally get to see Bella (Stewart) join her dazzling Edward (Pattinson) at the altar. At last, Bella and Edward do what honeymooners do -- and that extended skinny-dipping, bed-breaking, chess-playing, lovemaking sequence is a Twi-hard's dream come true.

Best Cinematic Sexytimes Of 2011: Cast Your Vote!
We're working our way up to the end of the year, and right now, we've got just one question: Who had the best sex in 2011?
...Ew, no! Put your hand down, you pervy oversharer! We don't mean you, personally; we're talking about Movie Sex, the subject of today's Best of 2011 poll. Because when it comes to getting down and dirty, Hollywood really delivered this year with a host of delightful sexytimes scenes—ranging from hot and steamy, to romantic and dreamy, to... uh, kinda awkward and depressingly familiar. (We're looking at you, "Bridesmaids.") But while there are many nominees to choose from, there can only be one winner! So, take your pick. Which film wins it for best cinematic sex scene this year?
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" (featuring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson)
After three long years of waiting, the rings are on and the clothes come off—and it's the hottest vampire-human sex scene ever caught on film! And they don't even really show it!. But it doesn't matter, it's JUST THAT AWESOME! Or at least, we suspect that at least some of you will think it is.

"Bridesmaids" (featuring Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm)
Okay, so it isn't exactly sexy when Jon Hamm turns to his recently bedded, still-post-coitally glowing ladylove and says, gently: "This is awkward. I really want you to leave." But it gets the nomination for making us laugh...while crying. Why are men so mean?!

"Shame" (featuring Michael Fassbender and... uh, everyone)
We're trying to think of a way to sum up the reasons for nominating this movie that doesn't include the words "Michael Fassbender's naked wang," but...well, yeah. We've got nothing. Naked wang.

"Friends with Benefits" (featuring Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake)
Take your pick of scenes from this film; they range from funny to sexy to (aww!) downright romantic. Is one of them the best this year?

Joseph Morgan on Immortals and Why He's Pushing For Klaus to Get a Love Interest on The Vampire Diaries
Joseph Morgan has been terrorizing this season of The Vampire Diaries as Klaus, a vampire/werewolf hybrid with many decades of scheming and torture in his past. He's been a delight to watch on TV, but he's also making an appearance on the big screen this week in the 3D epic Immortals, alongside Henry Cavill (aka the next Superman) and Kellan Lutz. I chatted with Morgan this week to talk about his new film and how he feels about playing Klaus — and why he thinks it's time for his big bad villain to fall in love.
Buzz: Did you and Kellan Lutz get to chat about playing famous vampires?
JM: I joined The Vampire Diaries after I shot Immortals, but I ran into Kellan at Comic-Con. So it's funny that I had jumped onto this vampire show now, and Ian and Paul both know Kellan pretty well, so it's funny. All the vampires mix. It was really nice, and he's a top guy. I didn't have much to do with him in the movie, but I saw him a little around the set. He's a really lovely guy and considering the huge amounts of success that all of those guys inTwilight have had, he's really down to earth and a wonderful human being.

kellan Lutz: I grinned through Immortals
Kellan Lutz has revealed he enjoyed filming Immortals so much, he couldn't stop smiling. The Twilight actor, who plays Greek god Poseidon in Tarsem Singh's action adventure, couldn't resist beaming throughout the shoot, even during the fighting scenes - which didn't go unnoticed by the camera crew.
"Everything just got me more excited - especially when I was fighting, because they could see my eyes crinkling up behind the masks. I was just having so much fun kicking butt," he said.
Kellan, who stars opposite Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff and Frieda Pinto, said Immortals - which opens in cinemas on November 11 - is one of the most original scripts he has ever read.
"I'm really stoked for it. I am very much into these movies, I love big action movies like Immortals, but this one is so original so it's fun," he continued.
"Like Clash Of The Titans, you already know what is going to happen, because there's been another movie and it was a remake. When I read this script, I thought, 'This is an amazing concept!' The writers did an amazing job and then to have Tarsem put his vision on it, it's just really cool."
He added: "So shooting it, seeing what Tarsem drew up, seeing the stages, seeing the computerised graphs of what he wants to do, and then working with the stunt guys, it was just really special."

'Immortals': Henry Cavill, Kellan Lutz dress up, live forever
As the "Immortals" cast and filmmakers arrived for the movie’s premiere Monday at Nokia Theatre, fans filled the sidewalk across from L.A. Live. Stars including the new Superman, Henry Cavill, and "The Twilight Saga" actor Kellan Lutz took plenty of time for autographs and photos with the crowd of Twi-hards and Clark Kent enthusiasts.
"Immortals," directed by Tarsem Singh (who goes by the mononym Tarsem), is a new take on the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur.
The movie features a lesser-seen version of Greek gods — it's not a bearded, aged bunch of men sitting on a mountain here. Tarsem decided that anyone who could live forever would want to look young forever. So somewhat similarly to "In Time," another recent film about immortality, the Greek myth adaptation gives young actors the task of playing old characters.
Lutz, who plays Poseidon, told the Ministry of Gossip that playing an immortal character comes naturally to him, both in "Immortals" and as Emmett Cullen in the "Twilight" series.
"I think it’s just always been my mind-set. I love life, and I live it to the fullest, and I think that’s how any immortal would," he said. "That's how Emmett does — he’s a happy-go-lucky kid and just loves being invincible."
Lutz also talked about Eiko Ishioka's costumes, which include gold headpieces that illustrate each god's domain. His features seashells on each side of his head.
He said the headpiece wasn't "so much comfortable to wear, but amazing to wear. Eiko did an amazing job ... and she's just wow — I mean, we looked amazing.”
Also opening up about costumes was Cavill, whose upcoming "Man of Steel" has him wearing the iconic Superman suit.
"When you’re an actor, every costume helps because it helps put you in the environment and the world," said Cavill, who plays Theseus. "It helps immerse you there."

Freida Pinto & Kellan Lutz Interview For ‘Immortals’
Visionary director Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and producers Gianni Nunnari (300), Mark Canton (300) and Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter) unleash an epic tale of treachery, vengeance and destiny in ‘Immortals,’ a stylish and spectacular 3-D adventure. As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece in search of a legendary weapon, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful. The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission. As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity. ‘Immortals’ is set for release November 11th 2011. Look out for a more in-depth interview with Freida Pinto, Kellan Lutz and the rest of the cast closer to the films release date.
What was it about ‘Immortals’ that interested you, this new take on Greek mythology?
Freida Pinto: Tarsem Singh, the way he visually brought out the nuances in ‘The Fall,’ the way it appealed to all five senses. I knew that ‘Immortals’ was going to be done in a very similar way. For me Tarsem’s vision was really determined before the film was made, so even though they had a script – he was a writer for the visual part of it, and knowing that he made films like ‘The Fall’ and ‘The Cell,’ and had directed R.E.M’s ‘Losing My Religion,’ you see all these amazing things in terms of the others that he’d shown in the past, I just knew that it was going to be different than what I had done in the past, the three other films that I had done before.
I guess it was the way he sold the movie at the first meeting that I had with him, how he envisioned my character and the film to be. And what I think is amazing is that he decided to play it not like the typical Greek epic, because I think we’ve seen that, that’s been done many times before. This was his take, it was his vision, and the studio was going to let him do it. You just feel comfortable knowing that you will have certain things that you can contribute, and he will be open to taking suggestions, because it really doesn’t depend on a book or something that someone else has written about the character. So that was nice, the openness was really great.
How about you Kellan?
Kellan Lutz: I loved the story, I loved the script, I loved everything the writers did with it. I found it very new and original, it’s not really coming off a book, a comic book, a story, or a movie that’s already been done before, it’s an original script. It’s really great to be a part of something that an audience has no idea what’s going to happen, because they haven’t seen the movie already, or read the book already. Also I love Greek mythology, I love Poseidon, I grew up doing reports on Poseidon. It’s really cool that I can play him.
Freida, can you talk a bit about Phaedra’s special powers?
Freida Pinto: She has the power of foresight, she can see the future but her visions aren’t very clear to her. So that kind of leads her to doubt many times, I think the fact that she does get this vision of Theseus, but doesn’t completely trust him, it says a lot about her not really knowing what the vision really means. So it’s only as things progress that she realises he is the guy who can save the people.
Was it hard to find the right balance between playing the Gods as these powerful beings, while also making them relatable, in some way?
Kellan Lutz: You don’t look at them as Gods, you make layers. I’m a brother and I’m an uncle, so for my character, I loved playing the uncle role. I have a funny uncle, and he’s who I go to when I’m in trouble and I can’t talk to my mum. He’s always there to give me advice, but to also make jokes with you (laughs). He’s just always been there for me. That’s what I drew from for Poseidon. You’re just made into a God by the costume your wearing, and with the cool weapons, and just being around the scenario that you’re in.
How was it working with Tarsem Singh?
Freida Pinto: Tarsem is great. He’s really patient, very encouraging, and most importantly open to suggestions – which sometimes directors may or may not be. He gave the actors creative license to do what they wanted with the lines, as long as it made sense (laughs). He was always hands on with whatever information you wanted. One of the most interesting things about Tarsem is that he’s such a hyperactive character (laughs), so hyperactive! He’s so helpful as well, if I was ever in doubt about anything, he would come and help me.

'Immortals': Kellan Lutz Takes A Dive As Poseidon
"Immortals Mondays" continues today with an exclusive behind the scenes look at Poseidon, the trident-wielding god played by "Twilight" favorite Kellan Lutz.
Describing his character as "the favorite uncle," Lutz explained that the god of the sea has been commanded by his brother Zeus (Luke Evans) not to interfere with the matters of men. Poseidon has a hard time adhering to this order, of course, leading him to spearhead one of the most visually breathtaking moments in the entirety of Tarsem Singh's mythological epic. Take a glimpse in the video below.

In addition to the exclusive video, we also have details on an "Immortals" sweepstakes. The Gods need a Hometown Hero, and MTV is looking for one man or woman to assemble their troops for a private hometown screening of "Immortals." Click here to find out how to enter!
