100 Monkeys Tour

Jackson's band 100 Monkeys has been holding a contest to let fans pick their tour sites.  Who ever entered had the chance to set a tour stop in their city.  I entered, did you?

Jackson Rathbone's 100 Monkeys Wants To 'Make Fans Happy' By Letting You Create Their Tour Schedule

The dream of many "Twilight" fans is the chance to be in the presence of their favorite films beloved cast members. Well, Twihards, we offer you an opportunity even better: not only to get a chance to see Jasper Hale in real life, but to have control over whether he comes to your town.
"Aint no rest for the wicked," Jackson Rathbone told us in a recent interview on the set of his new indie, "Girlfriend," and he seems to be making that line his mantra. Filming just wrapped over the weekend for "Girlfriend," he has one week left on "Eclipse" and then he is kicking off a 100 city tour with his band 100 Monkeys.
But this isn't going to be your average band tour. Jackson and bandmates Jerad Anderson, Ben Graupner and Ben Johnson have decided to make this tour something special.

"We have kind of a contest where fans go to the website, they send us in, on our website, where they're from and where they want us to play, and were going to take the top cities and try to hit those first and make sure we get to all the cities that are really begging to see us," Jackson told us.
You get that, fans? It's up to you to decide whether you see 100 Monkeys. Despite my repeatedly asking if he'd be coming to Boston (near Wayland where "Girlfriend" was filming, and my hometown), he said nothing would be determined until the results were tallied, so Bostonians, start your voting.
According to the rules on their blog, each vote should be sent to 100MonkeysTour@gmail.com, with the voters name, city, state and age in the subject line. The contest is only open to US cities, and winners will be announced October 28, so requests must be made before then. A separate contest will be held for Canada starting November 1.
"We want to make [our fans] happy because when we step on stage our entire purpose is to make sure everyone in the audience has fun," Jackson said. "We deliver a show that every time is going to be a little bit different because we always do an improv song or two and the audience gets to make it up. They get to call out what the ideas going to be and then they get to hear a song that no one else is going to get to hear again live, because its made up right there on the spot."
As for whether Jackson would continue his busy schedule by filming "Breaking Dawn" after the tour wraps, all he would tell us was, "I'm not really supposed to talk about. Maybe we should wait until'New Moon' actually comes out in theaters before we start asking those questions!"
Maybe, but we're eager fans. You can't blame us!
