Taylor can Scream

Here is a great article about last night's scream awards.  The article has some spoilers since the awards won't air till October 27 on Spike TV at 10/9c.  After the article there are some great pictures of Taylor from the night.

Taylor Lautner and 'Twilight' at the Scream 2009 awards (spoilers)

The Spike TV 2009 Scream Awards were filmed tonight in Los Angeles, California, and though the show will not premiere on Spike TV until Tuesday, October 27th, some of the results are in.

Twilight and the cast were nominated in several categories are the 2009 Scream Awards.

For starters, The Twilight Saga: New Moonand The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Taylor Lautner was nominated for "Breakout Performance" in Twilight. Lautner was nominated alongside co-star Robert Pattinson, True Blood star Sam Trammell, Taylor Kitsch, Star Trek star Chris Pine, Will.I.Am, and Sam Worthington. In case you couldn't tell by the picture, Taylor Lautner did indeed win the award for Breakout Performance!

Twilight was also nominated for "Best Fantasy Movie" with Coraline, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, Up, Watchmen, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Twilight won that award, and Lautner accepted according to Dread Central.

Twilight was also nominated for "Ultimate Scream," but the award was given to Star Trek. Additionally, Cam Gigandet was also in the running for "Best Villain," but the award went to Alexander Skarsgard of True Blood.

Finally, Michael Sheen's upcoming film Alice In Wonderland won the award for "Most Anticipated Fantasy Film," which his co-star (and, to say the least, leading male in the film) Johnny Depp accepted. Note that Alice In Wonderland beat out The Twilight Saga: New Moon for this award.

Footage from The Twilight Saga: New Moon was ushered in during the event, and, according to onesource, will be furthered in the actual show's screening.
