She is best known for her role as Esme Cullen in Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New moon(out in theatres on november 20th), and currently filming the Twilight Saga:Eclipse.
Elizabeth has had many stints on TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy where she played Jane Doe/Rebecca Pope and Saved playing Alice Alden M.D. She had her own show playing the lead in The Ex List.
