‘New Moon' stars to shine down on Uptown
Get ready, “Twilight” fans: Two actors from the highly anticipated movie sequel, “New Moon,” are coming to Park Ridge.
And if you've got the cash, you can meet them.
Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmit Cullen, and Charlie Bewley, who plays Volturi guard member Demetri, are scheduled to appear at the Pickwick Theatre, 5 S. Prospect Ave., to promote the Nov. 20 release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”
Lutz and Bewley are scheduled to attend the Nov. 20 screening of the film, and participate in a Q-and-A with audience members following the 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. showings, said Pickwick owner Dino Vlahakis.
On Nov. 21 the actors will return for photo opportunities and autographs, according to www.flashbackweekend.com. Times have not yet been set for these events.
The Pickwick is offering several ticket packages for weekend's various events. An $845 backstage pass — only 10 are available — guarantees personal meetings with Lutz and Bewley, admission to a special premiere party and the showing of the film, attendance at the Q-and-A, and in-person autographs and photographs with the stars.
Other packages range from $99 to $319. Fans can also purchase tickets for individual autographs and photos with the actors, as well as the Q-and-A after the film screenings.
Tickets for “New Moon,” which will be screened for the first time at midnight Nov. 20, are $7 each.
Ticket packages can be ordered by calling (847) 478-0119. Additional information on all the ticket packages is available at www.flashbackweekend.com.
The Park Ridge Public Library, 20 S. Prospect Ave., is also hosting a “New Moon” Movie Release Party from 5-10 p.m. Nov. 20. The evening will include a trivia contest and snacks.
