Road Train

Xavier has another movie called Road Train, which he shot before landing the role of Riley in Eclipse.  It is a thriller, that to me looks very scary (but I do get scared easily).  They are putting the trailer out in hopes of getting a distribution deal.  Below is the trailer, let us know what you think about it.
“Road Train” OFFICIAL TRAILER, starring Xavier Samuel of “Eclipse”
I've been following the career of Australian actor Xavier Samuel for several years. He starred in Newcastle, which was one of my Top Picks from the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. He also appeared in 2:37, one of my favorites from the Santa Barbara Film Festival in January 2007. In an exclusive audio interview after the World Premiere of Newcastle in New York last year, I sat down with Xavier, his castmates, and director Dan Castle to discuss the film. I was the only American journalist there -- I was joined by two Australian reporters.

Since then, almost overnight, Xavier Samuel has become a household name and I've stayed on top of the news. On July 16th I reported on the casting
of Samuel in the forthcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Then on July 22nd I was happy to pass on the news that his new film The Loved Ones would be having its International Premiere at TIFF, and on August 20 I was especially thrilled to announce that Xavier's attendance at the festival had been confirmed.

Prior to the screening I was invited to a party thrown by programmer Colin Geddes to celebrate the 10-night Midnight Madness series and the debut of
The Loved Ones. Cast and crew of the film attended the event, including Xavier Samuel and Victoria Thaine. I posted some of my photos from the pre-party as well as pictures from the post-screening Q&A,
along with a few shots of Samuel in the lobby afterward.

The Loved Ones continues to play the film festival circuit and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is set for release June 30, 2010.

Xavier's filmography continues to grow, and here is the official sales trailer for his new film
Road Train, a supernatural thriller about a group of teenagers menaced by a driver-less triple-trailer truck in the Australian outback. The film is currently being exhibited by worldwide sales representative Lightning
Entertainment at AFM in Los Angeles, the industry film market running concurrently with the public AFI Film Festival. The trailer is aimed at acquisition reps in hopes of landing a distribution deal.

This was Xavier's final motion picture prior to being cast in
Eclipse. Shot this past spring on his home turf in Adelaide, South Australia, the shocker is currently in post-production for a 2010 release.
