Welcome to SportsNation! On Wednesday, actor Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in the Twilight movies, will be here to chat about the latest part in the series: "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
Lautner, 17, became a huge hit with his role of Black in the first Twilight release in 2008. The third installment of the series - Eclipse - hits theaters in 2010. Lautner began his acting career with a part in the made-for-TV movie "Shadow Fury." His next big role was in "Cheaper by the Dozen 2."
Lautner studied martial arts from the age of 6 to 13. When he was 11, he was ranked number one by the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) and at 12, he won the junior world championships. Having grown up in Michigan, his favorite hockey team is the Detroit Red Wings.

It's definitely changed my life in every way possible. I'm very busy, but I'm doing what I love to do: making movies, traveling the world, meeting new people, and having the time of my life.

Definitely football. Not even a question. That's what I've played my whole life. I just love the physical aspect of it.

No, I don't. I stopped when I was thirteen to start this acting business. When I find the free time, I try and keep it up a bit.

Absolutely. It's similar and different than Twilight at the same time. It has a lot more action than the first one. If you have a girlfriend, you should definitely take her to it.

Firstly, i am deffinately Team Jacob! I have read ever Twilight book and fell in love with the story, i was wondering if you've read all the books?

Definitely. When I was filming Twilight, I only read the first book, because I heard my character changed a lot in the following books, but as soon as I finished filming, I read the rest of the series. My favorite is Eclipse.

Taylor I was wondering what kind of training did you do to bulk up for new moon?

Obviously it required a lot of hours in the gym, but that was the easy part. The hardest part was the eating process. I had to double my calorie intake per day, and eat something every two hours.

You said you like to play football with Kristen Stewart between takes. Was she really that good or did you let her win?

It was a team effort. We weren't really competing against one another, but she does have a really good arm and was quite an impressive football player.

Are you afraid that you will be linked to your role as Jacob for your whole life? Or do you plan on going for more adult roles in the future?

No, I'm not afraid. I guess to some "Twihards", we could be, but then we'd kind of be doing our jobs, which is to bring these characters to life for the fans. But I definitely look forward to challenging myself to many different roles in the future.

I haven't gotten that much downtime recently. When I do, I'll use that opportunity to spend time with my family and friends.

We actually have really talented fans. We get a lot of gifts -- shirts, scrapbooks, DVDs -- so those are some of the nicest things we've gotten.

That's really hard to choose; we don't get to see much of the country we're in. Usually it's just airports and hotel rooms. But it was my first time to Europe, and I did enjoy London quite a bit.

It's really hard to choose, because our entire cast is so close. I do end up spending most of my time with Kristen and Rob, so we've definitely grown close.
