You might say that a spunky young songwriter everybody loves—like, say, Taylor Swift—would have it all locked up. But even during a year when Michael Jackson's best music and moves were everywhere?
The list of standout stars doesn't end there: Disgusting or not, the Gosselins totally entertained. Adam Lambert and Miley Cyrus shocked, and Lady Gaga tried hard enough. George Clooney turned in the performance of a career, and Susan Boyle brought tears to more eyes than anyone.
And, yeah, as popular as he is, did Robert Pattinson actually do anything other than look good?
