He might portray the lovable champ Charlie Swan in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but his film Shadow Play looks to be featuring Billy Burke in a whole new light.

The trailer for the film was only recently released (see below), and it looks great!

Though, the director, Nick Simon, says it may be a bit deceiving as to what the film is really about.

The trailer is a little deceiving, he says, since it makes the movie look more like an action-horror movie. It's actually more paced, he says, deliberately kind of slow.

"It's something the producers put together to build excitement," Simon says. "It's more of a tease and doesn't really tell anything about the story. It just shows off that we have real movie stars."

Shadow Play stars (alongside Billy Burke) Emma Caulfield, Mark Kelly, Oz Perkins, Elliot Gould, and Kelly Brook.

Simon told one source that "he hopes to enter the movie in the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas, in March" and that he'll be distributor-shopping in February, 2010.
