'New Moon' actor Taylor Lautner in talks to star in remake of 'Vision Quest'
Taylor Lautner may soon star in another love story.
Lautner, who plays a werewolf vying forBella Swan's love in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," could be cast in a remake of 1985's "Vision Quest," according to E! News.
He'd be playing Matthew Modine's part in the romance film that featuredMadonna's "Crazy for You" as its theme song. Modine starred as a high school wrestling star who falls in love with an older woman boarding in his dad's home.
The remake is still in development, withWyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment set to produce.
A source told E! that 17-year-old Lautner has seen a copy of the script, which is reportedly close to the original's, and is really excited about it.
"It's very much in line with his athleticism," the source said. "His character is someone who's striving for greatness."
Lautner is an accomplished martial artist, who won several titles as child.
