Oscars.org has published the list of movies that have qualified for consideration for 2009 Academy Awards. New Moon & Little Ashes are on the list, which means Oscar voters can vote for both films if they so desire. If the flims gets enough votes, they will be final nominees in whatever category the voters chose!.
