"New Moon" may not be nominated for a single award at the Golden Globes, but that doesn't mean the supernatural blockbuster won't be represented when the 67th annual show airs on Sunday, January 17. Werewolf Taylor Lautner will be on hand as a presenter, according to an Associated Press report, joining a predictably deep pool of top Hollywood talent.
While Taylor won't have a shot at taking home a trophy at the Globes, he's already become a big awards show winner in 2010. At the People's Choice Awards on January 6, he triumphed in two categories: Favorite On-Screen Team (with co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson) and Favorite Breakout Movie Actor (beating out talents like Worthington and Chris Pine).
Of course, many of your Twilghters maintain that the "New Moon" gang should get some love from the top-shelf awards shows too. At a publicity event attended by Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed on the day of the film's theatrical release, fans spoke out about their hope for some "New Moon" recognition at the Oscars.
"They always give the [nominations] to the boring movies," said Vanesa Reyes. "Let's give young people a chance to win some Oscars. It's time for a change."
Suggested Jhanel Huggett, "I think Taylor Lautner [should be nominated]. I really do. He did such an amazing job to transform, so I think he really deserves it."
