This weekend, Twilight and Nurse Jackie star Peter Facinelli appeared in Temecula, California to sign autographs and take pictures with his fans, once again for the benefit of a charity.
In this case, Facinelli's appearance went to benefit UNICEF's Haiti Relief Fund, and it went over very well, according to reports.
The Press Enterprise reported on the event, saying that there were over two thousand fans in attendance of the event.
"Some people waited for upwards of five hours with "Twilight" books, posters and T-shirts in hand for a chance to get their keepsakes signed, as well as a chance to hug, shake hands -- and get a kiss on the cheek from Facinelli," the publication reports.
They also quoted Facinelli to say that "You never get used to it, I'm surprised every time I show up ... It makes you feel that you have done something right, and it's great to see so many people come out and support a great cause ... The crowd here has been awesome."
Facinelli also complimented the patrons at Saturday's event on Twitter, saying "The fans in Temecula were AWESOME!" A video from the event is available here.
There's no hard and fast rule that says Facinelli (or anyone for that matter) has to donate proceeds from appearances such as this to charity, but, as usual, Peter Facinelli has used the opportunity to support a great cause.
