EXCLUSIVE: 'Alice In Wonderland' Posters Offer New Looks At The Cheshire Cat And The White Rabbit

The latest round of promotional materials in Disney's ongoing campaign to show us how awesome Tim Burton's take on "Alice in Wonderland" is brings some new character stills, including up-close looks at Bayard the dogthe Bandersnatch and the Caterpillar, as well as a pair of MTV-exclusive new posters featuring the Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit. March 5 can't come soon enough.
We also learned an interesting fact about thatnot-soundtrack, "Almost Alice," which hits stores on March 2. Danny Elfman is of course providing the movie's score; the pop/punk-filled release is more of an "inspired by" affair. And, as we've learned, that "Almost Alice" title actually comes from a line of dialogue in the movie. The story is a sequel of sorts, set years after Alice's initial voyage down the rabbit hole. When she arrives, all of her old Wonderland friends note that she is different, not the spitfire she once was. The Caterpillar, voiced by none other than "Harry Potter" star Alan Rickman notes that she is "almost Alice."
Neat, huh? To me, that phrasing very much recalls Lewis Carroll's whimsical style of writing. Hit the jump to check out the posters, or click them to browse through MTV's full image gallery.
