True to form, the mysterious R-Pattz is difficult to find dirt about. But we managed to find some interesting tidbits about our favorite brooding vampire.
PLUS: Want to see more hot pics of Rob? Check out his 25 smoldering looks!
1. It's hard to believe now, but when Rob first signed on to play Edward Cullen, 75,000 people signed a petition against his taking the role — they didn't think he was the right fit for the character in the Twilightbooks! Now, even more people are saying, "Robert, bite me"...but they mean something completely different.
2. Robert reportedly got a six-pack for New Moon, thanks to makeup artists and strategic airbrushing. We'd like to inspect the evidence to find out for sure.
3. He once reportedly said that instead of "R-Pattz," his nickname could be "Spunk Ransom." Is it just us, or does that sound like a porn-star name?
4. All of Rob's trademark fervid staring in the Twilight movies? It's not his acting — he credits difficulty seeing through his gold-colored contacts (which he calls "orange blobs").
5. On account of filming Remember Me and the second and thirdTwilight flicks, he estimates he's had "like, three days off" in the past year. This vampire needs some R&R and maybe a massage, stat! Any takers?
6. Unlike his character Edward, Robert says he's not at all romantic. "I can't think of a single romantic thing I've ever done," he told the Today Show recently.
7. He plays the piano and guitar, and his songs were featured in the firstTwilight movie. Director Catherine Hardwicke told MTV the songs made her cry because they were so moving.
8. He reportedly "is confused" as to why UGG boots are trendy. We hear that the rest of the male population agrees.
9. Rob has two older sisters who used to dress him up and introduce him to people as "Claudia." That must've sucked.
10. R-Pattz seriously considered quitting acting because he couldn't get any jobs. A couple of days later, he auditioned for Twilight.
