Chaske Spencer at UFC 111

So I was "watching" this with some friends tonight aka I was at a sports bar where they were showing it and I was tweeting.  But I just don't get it as a sport.  I know it takes a lot of physical training to do it, but why do people like watching it?  I don't wanna see people get bones broken by others.  That to me is not fun TV and I love watching sports.  If anyone can tell me the allure of it please do Im interested in finding out.  But I digress, Chaske was at the fight.
