Alice in Wonderland earned $2.376 million at the North American box office on Wednesday, as per Box Office Mojo. Tim Burton’s 3D fantasy tale starring Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter had an 11.4% drop from the previous day.
The Jennifer Aniston-Gerard Butler romantic comedy The Bounty Huntertook in $1.28m at #2 after dropping 19.1 percent from Monday. After six days, the $40 million production has grossed a little over $25 million.

That’s good, but remember that studios only get about 50-55% of a film’s take at the box office. In order to pay for itself, Remember Me will need the money coming in from overseas, where the romantic drama will at least match — probably surpass — its North American box-office revenues.
Rounding out the top twelve were America Ferrera’s Our Family Wedding($224K, -16.7%), Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer ($188K, -16.7%) and Ethan Hawke’s Brooklyn’s Finest ($145K, -16.8%).
Every single movie on the top twelve chart posted losses, usually double digit percentage points, relative to the previous day. The Bounty Hunter was the worst (-19.1%) and Avatar the least affected (-3.2%).
