Camelot Rolls a Deal With 'Skateland'
Distribution Division Obtains Foreign Rights to Sundance Selection
LOS ANGELES, May 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTCBB:CMGR - News) ("Camelot") announced today that Camelot Distribution Group ("CDG") has acquired a Sundance and SXSW official selection, Skateland, starring Shiloh Fernandez (Cadillac Records, The Girl with the Red Riding Hood) and Ashley Greene (Twilight Saga). CDG obtained all foreign rights to the film, while CAA holds domestic representation.
Skateland is a Freeman Film production written and produced by Anthony Burns, Brandon Freeman, and Heath Freeman and directed by Anthony Burns.
"The teenage female demographic is driving a larger portion than ever in box office and home entertainment sales, illustrated by The Twilight Saga and Dear John," stated President of Distribution Jamie Thompson. "After screening Skateland at Sundance, we immediately saw its potential within the market niche."
"We are excited to be working with Camelot on foreign distribution," stated Brandon Freeman, President of Freeman Film. "It is clear that Camelot shares our passion and enthusiasm for Skateland -- coupled with an established platform and a focused strategy, we are confident in their success."
