Hollywood Crush Public Service Announcement: You guys, the "Eclipse" soundtrack is now streaming online (listen to it for free while you can!), and it's REALLY GOOD. Like, really good. Seriously. We listened to the whole thing. As far as "The Twilight Saga" goes, it's the best soundtrack yet, despite the lack of original Robert Pattinson numbers. Like "New Moon," the tracklisting is super-indiefied, but unlike "New Moon," the songs aren't too boring or angsty (don't lie, you know you skipped over half of those songs after you listened to them once). To help you navigate all 15 new tracks, we gave each one a listen. While there were certainly a few standouts (the folky Fanfarlo tracks, The Black Keys' old school rock jam, Metric's indie pop number, the songs from Cee Lo Green, Florence + the Machine, and Battles), we compiled our thoughts on most of the songs, in the form of yearbook superlatives!
Best Epic Rock Ballad/Queen Impression: Muse, "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)"
Best Brandon Flowers of The Killers Impression: The Bravery, "Ours"
Most Likely to be Played During a Battle Preparation Scene: Florence + the Machine, "Heavy in Your Arms"
Best Use of Foot Stomps: Fanfarlo, "Atlas"
Most Likely to be Played During a Flashback Scene: The Black Keys, "Chop and Change"
Best Use of Drum Machine: Beck and Bat For Lashes, "Let's Get Lost"
Most Vampire Weekend-y: Vampire Weekend, "Jonathan Low"
Best Muse Impression: Eastern Conference Champions, "A Million Miles An Hour"
Best Use of Whistling: Cee Lo Green, "What Part of Forever"
