Make-A-Wish gets teen her 'Twilight' wish in Forks

FORKS -- The West End spent a week making a dream come true for a 17-year-old from Orange County, Calif.

Brooke was granted one wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and she wanted to visit Forks -- the place where Bella Swan and Edward Cullen of Twilight were drawn together.

Brooke asked the foundation not to release her last name or illness.

Make-A-Wish makes dreams realities for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Most of the wish was donated by Dazzled by Twilight, which sells memorabilia related to the movies.

She and her family stayed at the Oceanside Resort in LaPush, owned by the Quileute tribe.

After spending June 28 and 29 in Seattle, she headed to Forks four tours of the city and eating at the newly opened Twilight-themed restaurant The Lodge in Forks.

She was also granted the opportunity to watch the third installment of the series, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," on an IMAX big screen in Seattle.

Twilight, which was released in 2005, tells the tale of vampire Edward Cullen and human Bella Swan who fall in love in Forks.

All four novels in the series -- including sequels New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn -- have also remained on the best-seller list since 2006.

The eponymous first movie was released in November 2008 and the second in November 2009.
