Celebrity Hair Ideas: Four Stars' New Fall Styles

A few weeks ago, we snipped our long hair to just above the shoulder. We were shocked at first, but proud we were able to part with our old look; and in the end, we ending up loving our new, shorter cut. It looks like we were on to something—actresses like Kristen Stewart and Scarlett Johansson are also switching up their styles this season.

Scarlett Johansson proves you don't need to make drastic changes to freshen up your look. On Monday, she was spotted in Barcelona—her hair shorter and blonder. The changes she made were subtle: her "lob" became a chin-length crop and her color has gone from a honey shade to a lighter, golden blond.

Kristen Stewart has gone back to the dark side after spending the summer as a strawberry blond,courtesy of colorist Marie Robinson. While Stewart's decision was work-related (she had to return to a rich, chestnut hue for the next Twilight film), we love the idea of going darker for the fall and winter months.

Ashlee Simpson went for high drama this month: From long and brunette to cropped and platinum. Matching her son Bronx, the singer and wife of Pete Wentz posted pictures of her blond pixie, her husband calling the change, "cute!"

Keira Knightley has never been afraid of transforming up her look: After going long, short, and everything in between, she debuted her new asymmetrical bob at Paris Fashion Week (trimming it herself earlier that morning). It's short, sweet, and still a little bit sexy, inspiring us to one day chop off even more. Maybe.
