PHOENIX - There was some star power at St. Vincent de Paul's Thursday, during its annual "Champions for the Homeless" event.
The Nick Lowery Youth Foundation sponsored the event, where athletes from around the valley and the country come out to show their support for the homeless community.
Folks were served a good meal and got to meet several of their favorite athletes and stars.
NFL players Seth Joyner and Derek Kennard, Twilight series actor Kiowa Gordon, and country pop singer Jessi Colter were among the attendees.
"I just thought it would be nice to get out on a day that we have off and help out people in the community," says Coyotes hockey player Paul Bissonnette.
This is the fifth Thanksgiving for the St. Vincent de Paul's event, and 10th Champions effort overall.BlackPack
