2003: Already a Tony Award nominee at the age of 13, the Broadway actress celebrated her big-screen debut in Camp with an understated look. "Anna blew out her curly hair to make it straight and clipped her hair back on one side," says her hairstylist Craig Gangi.

"Anna decided to go for a more sophisticated look," says makeup artist Sara Glick of Kendrick's appearance at the Hollywood Awards. "We didn't want her to grow up too fast, so she's wearing an age-appropriate evening eye and a light brush of color on her cheeks."

The New Moon star upped the drama with a matte and muted smoky eye.

For the AFI Awards, Kendrick added subtle makeup to a high ballerina bun. "We went for a clean, delicate look," says Glick. "She's a very understated person and wanted to show off her natural beauty."
2010
The Up in the Air nominee made her Academy Awards debut with a romantic style. "Anna truly glowed!" says Glick. "I warmed up her pale skin with peachy tones for a natural, sun-kissed glow." An undone updo completed the look. "We decided to keep her texture soft with loose waves, which I pulled back into a low, deconstructed bun," says Gangi.
