Holiday Diet Tips from the Stars!

It may be the most wonderful time of the year, but it is also the most calorie-laden time of the year with lots of parties with great food, delicious desserts and alcoholic beverages. It's a struggle to be good, so ET talked to the stars to get their diet secrets!
Kate Gosselin, who eats cereal for breakfast with coffee and lots of veggies for lunch and dinner, tells ET that running has helped her shed the pounds.
"I'm not on some crash diet," the mother of eight says. "I eat healthy. I just started running outside."
'Twilight' star Ashley Greene reveals her tricks for staying in shape, saying, "I amp up the cardio and protein and try to stay away from salt. I also drink tons of water."
Her co-star, Kellan Lutz, shares, "I quit candy … or I tried to. It's not working so well."
Of course, we all know that some of the most significant weight-loss stories are not just holiday happenings, but lifestyle changes. "Hot in Cleveland" star Valerie Bertinelli lost 40 pounds on Jenny Craig and says, "You're never too old to change your life."
Marie Osmond combined the "Dancing with the Stars" diet with Nutrisystem® for a successful weight loss, but, even so, she understands the occasional need to indulge. We found her doing just that at a Dairy Queen.
"On any diet, you have to allow yourself a treat," Marie tells ET.
Kelly Osbourne also used the "Dancing with the Stars" diet to kick start her new svelte figure.
"Louis Van Amstel got me dieting, got me eating right, got me working out and then I got addicted to it," she tells ET.
And fitness guru Jane Fonda, who just released her new DVD "Jane Fonda: Prime Time -- Fit & Strong," says that exercise is the key, especially as you age. "It's optional when you're young because your body is very forgiving, but when you get older, it's really imperative."
But if temptation is hard for you to resist, Nikki Haskell, creator of the StarShape Diet System, has some helpful hints. "Eat before you go to a party. Eat some carrots, eat some celery, because if you wait all day until you go to the party, you're starving, and you eat everything."
