Most Awesome Movie – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part One
It was a close-run thing, but the boy wizard won it: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part One was your favourite movie of the year. A valiant second place was clinched by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, way ahead of third place movie Inception and the rest of the chasing pack. Can Potter do the double with Part Two out this summer?
Guy Of The Year – Robert Pattinson
It was a tough battle between Team Potter and Team Twilight, but you should never underestimate the screaming power of the Twi-hards. Robert Pattinson – or 'R-Patz' to those of you down with the kidz – emerged victorious as your Guy Of The Year. Fellow teen idol Daniel Radcliffe scrapped his way to second place, with everyone's favourite pirate, Johnny Depp, in third. Swoon or what?
Best Comedy – Easy A
Triumphing over big-budget road movies and Oscar-nominated indies, Virgin Media readers votedEasy A as Best Comedy, proving that sometimes, you just can't beat high-school for chuckles. Newcomer Russell Brand acquitted himself well in second place with Get Him To The Greek, while Robert Downey Jr's Due Date had to settle for the final place on the podium.
Worst Movie – Vampires Suck
The humble movie spoof isn't what it used to be since its 80s heyday, and Virgin Media readers voted in their droves to confirm that Twilight parody Vampires Suck did indeed suck. Fabulous fashion flop Sex And The City 2 didn't escape your ire and neither did M Night Shyamalan's latest bomb, The Last Airbender, which received a critical mauling to boot. Ouch!
Nastiest Villain – Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter
Boo! Hiss! Etc! Most of you seemed to agree; seven movies in and Harry Potter's Lord Voldemort is still the baddest guy in town. Maybe it's because he has no nose. How does he smell? LIKE VICTORY. Ol' smooth bonce pummelled the competition, beating Twilight's flame-haired vamp villainess Victoria and Toy Story 3's not-so cuddly Lotso Huggin' Bear to the top slot.
Most Wanted – The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
A hugely contested category, your Most Wanted movie for 2011 is officially the first part of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The votes flew in from both Harry Potter and Twilight fans, but ultimately Harry's adventures have been usurped by the vamp-wolf-lady love triangle. Deathly Hallows: Part Two could only rank as your second Most Wanted, with Pirates 4 in third.
Worst Actress – Kristen Stewart
Poor Kristen Stewart – last year she appeared in rip-roaring music biopic The Runaways, played a tough role in critical success Welcome To The Rileys and even filmed On The Road, a Jack Kerouac novel. But no, all you saw was Twilight, Twilight, TWILIGHT! K-Stew 'won' the award all the girls dread, just pipping Piranha's Kelly Brook and Jonah Hex' Megan Fox to the title.
Most Overrated Movie – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
You're a fickle lot, aren't you? It seems for every one of you who can't get enough Twilight action, there's another movie fan who's had it up to here with Bella and Edward's antics. You voted The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as your Most Overrated Movie, with the double-Depp-dip of Alice In Wonderland and The Tourist finishing as your second and third biggest disappointments of the year.
