Mateo Messina has been hired to score the satirical comedyButter. The film is set in the Midwest U.S., where an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town’s annual contest. The movie stars Jennifer Garner, Olivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman, Ty Burrell, Yara Shahidi, Alicia Silverstone, Ashley Greene, Rob Corddry and Kristen Schaal. Jim Field Smith (She’s Out of My League) is directing from a script by Jason Micaleff. Garner is also producing alongside Michael DeLuca (The Social Network). The Weinstein Company is expected to release the movie later this year.
