Taylor Lautner has a sheen about him on the cover of the next issue of VMAN magazine available Thursday. In the issue, he describes how the fame of starring in the Twilight franchise has affected his life.
Besides the upcoming two-parter, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Lautner stars in the Sept. 23 release, Abduction, and he is in pre-production on the fantasy film, Incarceron, due out next year. So, for the guy who was best known for 2005’s The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl before Twilight, it has been a meteoric rise. And he credits his Twilight family for keeping him company on the ride.
"It was really helpful that all of us were going through the same thing at the same time,” he says. “I think if we didn't have that sort of relationship it would have been tough.”
“It would have felt pretty lonely,” he continues. “Because when you are filming for these Breaking Dawn movies -- we were filming for seven months -- and if you're there alone the whole time even with the cast members, like on a day off, or on weekends, you'd go nuts."
Through it all, Lautner has developed an interesting theory about his and his cast mates’ very obsessive fandom.
"Its definitely these characters we are playing,” he explains. “They are in love with Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. I mean, they feel like they know them. We are just lucky enough to be playing them. But I definitely think it’s the characters."
