The vampire saga star has been to Israel before, but his travel companions, including his mother, are visiting the country for the first time; they will meet with government officials, the Israeli press, Israeli film stars, producers.
By HaaretzKellan Lutz, one of the stars of the hit vampire saga “Twilight”, and other celebrities arrived in Israel this week to visit important religious and historical sites throughout the country.
Lutz took an El Al flight to Israel with his mother, actor Miguel Ferrer (best known for his role as Dr. Garret Macy on “Crossing Jordan”), Columbian singer Carolina La O and Cuban performer Didier Hernandez.
The vampire saga star has been to Israel before, but his travel companions were visiting the country for the first time.
The group’s itinerary includes dinner at the Jaffa Black Out restaurant, where they will be served by blind waiters and eat in pitch-black darkness. They will also watch the theatrical production “By Bread Alone”, in which all the performers are blind and deaf.
The celebrity tour will also include a midnight biking tour through the Old City of Jerusalem, a wine tasting and many other activities. They will meet with government officials, the Israeli press and Israeli film stars and producers to discuss potential partnerships going forward.
The trip is sponsored by the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, Americas Voices in Israel and El Al Israel Airlines.
