After her brief concert, Welch spoke to Stylist about her personal relationships with designers like Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and Gucci’s Frida Giannini, who designed her summer tour costumes. And she revealed that there are a few rising stars she’d someday like to work with. “I love Erdem,” she shared. “I’ve met with Sarah Burton, and as well as being so, so nice, the work she has done at Alexander McQueen is just incredible.”
But during the holidays, Welch put her designer duds aside and kept her look casual — well, almost casual. “I’ve decided that as long as I’m wearing lots of costume jewelry, then I’m dressed,” she joked. “So I spent the whole time in lavish, brightly patterned pajamas, masses of costume jewelry and my paper crown.”
