He may play Robert Pattinson's adopted vampire dad in the Twilight movies – but in real life, Peter Facinelli is more like the Brit's wingman.

"People always come up to me say, 'Oh my god ... can you give this letter to Rob?" the actor tells  Women's Health for its December issue. "I've become the pony express to Rob Pattinson."

Not that it goes both ways.

"I've yet to get one letter from [him]," Facinelli, who's married to Jennie Garth, says. "Maybe he's hoarding them."

A veteran of the  Twilight series, Facinelli, 35, now understands the appeal of vampires. "The hunger of wanting something so much that you can taste them is very intimate, beautiful and romantic," he says. "It's a metaphor [for sex]."

As for his favorite part of a woman, the actor explains: "Lips are sexy," he says. "They're a tool for communication but also a tool for kissing. They're sexy both visually and intellectually."
