Rough Hustle

Michael Welch's latest movie that he is filming is called Rough Hustle and now we have some information about it.

As I first announced here back in October 2008, Michael Welch, currently being seen as Mike Newton in The Twilight Saga, will soon be appearing in a gritty independent film titled Rough Hustle. 

Shot on location in Mesquite, Nevada and Las Vegas, Rough Hustle is nearing completion on its way to a 2010 release. Writer/director/producer Delaney Dragon has passed along some exclusive information about the movie's progress. 

The filmmakers are currently hard at work completing the film's soundtrack with some of America's most talented artists. Composer Penka Kouneva scored nine films this year, including Transformers II.

Lead actress Natalia Livingston will be singing two songs written by Emmy Award-winner Michele Vice-Maslin, who's penned tunes for iCarly, Material Girls, and Another Cinderella Story. Singer Daylon Wear has worked with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Johnny Cash. Another featured vocalist, Joelle James, has actually known Michael Welch for years through their work with the charity Kids With A Cause.

Rights are being obtained for some killer classics. Fans of the 1980s band Loverboy just might be treated to one of their hits over the opening credits.
