Interview: Booboo Stewart Loves Gaming
How did you spend your Valentine's night? If your girl is a Twilight fanatic, chances are you found yourself stuck at home pretending to watch Breaking Dawn Part 1, which just hit Blu-ray/DVD this past weekend. With Breaking Dawn now the most successful in The Twilight Saga franchise, one of the film’s breakout stars is actor Booboo Stewart—he plays werewolf Seth Clearwater in the two-part finale (the last film hits theaters later this year). But what the actor really loves is video games. In this recent interview, Booboo talks about his first experience at E3 this year, why guys might actually like Breaking Dawn, and his ongoing struggle to stay alive in Call of Duty: Black Ops...
For the majority of guys that haven’t gotten into this whole Twilight thing, what are some reasons they might enjoy these last two Breaking Dawn flicks?Breaking Dawn definitely is the most guy-friendly movie in the Twilight series. There’s a lot of really cool action in it between the vampires and the wolves. There’s all of this fighting and everything, which should appeal to the male audience.
Can you talk a little bit about your character in Breaking Dawn?My character’s name is Seth Clearwater. He is like the peacemaker of the movie. He’s one of the few characters that actually gets along with everybody and wants everyone to get along.
What video games did you play growing up?Definitely Street Fighter on the old Nintendo, where the controller was an oval and when the games didn’t work you’d have to hit in hard. And if that didn’t work you had to blow on the cartridge.

Booboo Stewart Interview
If you could choose to meet a famous person from the past who would it be and why?
I would like to meet Jesus because he is very inspirational. In the Twilight saga you are playing a wolf character. Was there ever the thought of playing a vampire instead?
I really like my character cause he is a cool character. He likes everyone. No I never really thought about playing a vampire. But if I had to play one I would Jasper because he has got a good talent and he is cool.
Last year at RingCon you told the people that you don’t like your wolf being so skinny in Eclipse. Are you more satisfied with the result now?
Yes I do remember the time at RingCon. He just looked like he didn’t eat in a month. But how he looks now I can’t tell. You have to watch the movie in November and find out then.
What can the fans expect of the first part of Breaking Dawn?
The fans can expect a lot of romance. There is some action in there and they can expect a very nice wedding.
It was reported that all the wolf actors had to do a sort of “wolf-boot-camp”. Is that right? Did you participate and is there something you took with you like some work out exercises?
I didn’t actually need to do that. I think they did it for New Moon but they didn’t do it for Eclipse. My mom is a personal trainer. So I do my training with her.
What do you think about Seth being open-minded about getting along with the vampires and not supporting Sam’s kind of old-fashioned point of view?
I think Seth differs from the rest of the wolfpack because he gets along with everybody. And this is a really nice side Seth has being the only one. I like him very well.
Could you imagine playing the role of an alpha wolf like Sam or Jacob?
That would be funny if I played an alpha wolf (laughs). I am just so young and it would be really funny. And I would create new rules. I think the wolfpack would be much nicer. They would be more relaxed maybe.
How much alike are Seth Clearwater and Booboo Stewart?
I think we definitely get along with people. And it was really easy for me to play Seth.
If the two wolf packs of Sam and Jacob would exist in reality as two different groups of friends and you had to choose between them which one would you prefer?
That’s a hard one. I think Jacob’s pack behaves better so I would choose Jacob.
Is there a movie you would have loved to take a part in? And if so which movie and which role would it have been?
I would play Aladin in Arabian Nights.
How about your next projects? Would you like to do some roles that require more physical action?
I actually finished a movie called White Frog. I play a teenager and his name is Nick Young and he suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome. It’s about his family who experienced a tragedy and it’s about Nick Young bringing the family back together.
It is really fun to play such a difficult role. And it was weigh a different role compared with Twilight. For this role I did a lot of research like watching videos on Youtube.
Are you still doing some music with your sister? What are your plans according to that? Might there be a chance for German fans to see you around here some time in the future?
That’ll be neat to go on tour in Germany. Yes I am still doing music. But it’s definitely harder than doing movies. Cause you have to write your lyrics and do the music on your own. Doing a movie is much easier cause there are directors and producers and the whole crew to help you getting the work done.

OMG, you guys. Breaking Dawn comes out tomorrow! And as hot as the Robs and Kristensand Taylors of the world are, we think the other hotties in the latest installment of The Twilight Saga deserve a little lovin’, too.

1. Alex Meraz plays Paul, a Quileute teenager who is part of Jacob’s wolf pack. Um, can we be a part of the pack, too? We’re dying to know what’s on his mind.
2. BooBoo Stewart, aka Seth Clearwater, we don’t care where you got those abs. We’re just glad you have them.
3. Tinsel Korey gets to play play Emily, Sam’s fiance. Plus, she gets to hang out with the whole wolf pack, including Jacob. That makes her really hot.
4. Bronson Pelletier is another wolf pack member and we’re pretty we don’t need to tell you why he’s hot. This pic speaks for itself.
5. Kiowa Gordon AKA Embry AKA one of Jacob’s wingmen is also part of the wolf pack. What do we have to do to get in this club?
6. Maggie Grace plays Irina Denali, part of the vegetarian vampire coven who we first see in the wedding scene of Breaking Dawn: Part 1. We still think she’s gorg even with those creepy vampire contacts.
7. Remember when Edward got into a fight with one of the Volturi guards in New Moon? It was this guy, Daniel Cudmore. You’re not mad at him anymore now that you see how hot he is, right?!
8. Charlie Bewley plays Demetri, another Volturi guard. You never knew this hottie was hidden beneath those blood red eyes and creepy smile, didja?
9. You probably know Anna Kendrick as one of Bella’s closest human friends, Jessica. She’s also gorgeous IRL, and, sidenote, hilar in Breaking Dawn: Part 1.
10. Michael Welch plays Mike Newton, one of Bella’s friends. He had a major crush on Bella, but, ya know, she prefers them immortal. But hey, Mikey, we’re single…
