LOL Gets a Rating
LOL was rated PG-13 for "mature thematic content involving teen sexuality and drug and alcohol use, and for language." The Miley Cyrus comedy has yet to be added to the release schedule, though it does appear that it's found a home with distributor Lionsgate.

Tanz Watson Mentions Ashley in an interview with LOL The Film
LOLTheFilm Presents Our Exclusive Interview with LOL star, Tanz Watson
In early January, we got the chance to interview, up and coming ‘LOL’ actor, Tanz Watson. We asked him a variety of questions, and he answered them candidly. In our exclusive interview with him, he talks his inspirations, Miley Cyrus, which co-star he was most close with, and more. As you read the interview below, you will get an inside look of who Tanz Watson really is and what he’s all about. Tanz isn’t just another, pretty face. He has the talent, ambition, and it factor to back it all up.Without further adieu, we present to you all our exclusive interview with Mr. Tanz Watson:
LOLTheFilm: What was it like working with Demi Moore, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Greene and the rest of the cast?
Tanz Watson: It’s like living a dream, in real life. 3 of the biggest female actresses in the world who are also 3 of the nicest/coolest girls you will ever meet. Got 3 great new friends and couldn’t be happier.
LOLTheFilm: What inspired or motivated you to get into acting?
Tanz Watson: Before I started I was huge in basketball. That was my goal, to play in the NBA. When I serious back injury I began modeling. Which was a great way to start, with the traveling and meeting of different people. I landed a commercial and It gave me the acting bug. I loved being in front of the camera and creating. I’m a very competitive person, and I take a basketball menality into acting as I want to be the best, and do the best job, and don’t mind competing for a role I want.
LOLTheFilm: Who did you hang out with the most while on set, filming LOL?
Tanz Watson: I was very blessed that I became geniune friends with everyone on the cast. I was the least experienced, and no one looked down or treated me differently, which was really cool. With that said, I would say Adam and I were the cloeset on set. We hung out all the time, to the point that it was strange to see us not with each other, lol. We stayed next to each other in the hotel, We did different movie skits at random times thoughout the day, and one time got a security to think we were really serious, and he called the cops – lol.
LOLTheFilm: What can we expect to see when LOL hits theaters later this year?
Tanz Watson: You can expect to see a cast that really did it’s best shooting this movie. You can expect to see, love, laughing, friendships, relationships, and partying. You can also see some of the new stars like “Ashley Hinshaw, Douglas Booth, George Finn, Tanz Watson, Douglas Booth” grow and become better actors working along side such tremendous actors. You will see the best mix of known actors and upcoming fresh faces.
LOLTheFilm: What are some of your favorite actor and/or actresses?
Tanz Watson: Whenever anyone has asked me what actor inspires or who I want to be like, I would always say I want to be the first Tanz Watson. That said without question I’m motivated and inspired but many. Will Smith is my favorite actor and the only actor I would want to have a career like. He said ” having A plan B is only taking away from plan A” and it really hits you when the biggest actor in the world, still loves competing and being the best, and making sure everything is perfect, even if it wouldn’t matter. Miley also inspires me, she at the time was 17 when I met her. There isn’t a 17 year old I know/met that could spend a day in her shoes. From all the media, to work, to just “The Miley Cyrus” brand. She is beyond amazing and does the best job you could do. Always professional and never could question her love or perfection for work or her fans.
LOLTheFilm: What was it like traveling to Paris to shoot LOL?
Tanz Watson: Going to Paris was the icing on the “best cake ever” – I get this amazing opportunity to film a leading role, with amazing people, and than they tell us we are also filming in Paris. The smile that I had on my face was priceless. Paris is a city that not only did I love, I could def live in. The buildings and artifacts are breath taking. The rich history and food are priceless. The people are amazing. I remember they would wait outside our hotel, for Miley and Ashley Greene, and Adam, but would go crazy for you to talk to them They truly love people and embraced us.
LOLTheFilm: What do you have to say for those who want to sing, dance, or act?
Tanz Watson: I love creating, and from someone who plans to release music and create with dance or anything else, I say Make it happen Too many people have regrets. If your dream is to be an entertainer. You should go for it. BUT! Also know its not easy, and it doesn’t happen overnight. I was very blessed with great timing and people helping me. Usually first roles aren’t lead roles in movies with huge names, but sometimes that happenes. For me, it was being prepared, focus, and have no other option but to succeed mentality.

Ashley is one of the 11 to Watch in 2011
Ashley Greene Talks 2011, 'Breaking Dawn' And Miley Cyrus Fans
With roles in 'LOL,' 'Skateland,' 'The Apparition' and more, the 'Twilight Saga' star is one of MTV News' 11 for '11.
Ashley Greene has spent the first days of 2011 doing martial-arts training. If we didn't know she was gearing up for some vampire fisticuffs in "Breaking Dawn," we might say the 23-year-old is getting ready to kick, punch and otherwise pound into submission the next 12 months. Because after years spent as a beloved supporting player in the "Twilight" franchise, Greene is set to take her turn in 2011 as one of the series' breakout stars.
The year begins with the debut of the Sundance indie "Skateland," an '80s coming-of-age tale. Then it's on to"LOL," a comedy in which she stars as a bad girl opposite Miley Cyrus. And don't forget about "The Apparition," a supernatural thriller that brings "Twilight" together with "Harry Potter" (Tom Felton) and "Gossip Girl" (Sebastian Stan), and the ensemble comedy, "Butter." Oh, yeah — plus the first part of "Breaking Dawn."
Yep, it's going to be a big year for Greene. That's why we've named her as one of MTV News' 11 to Watch in 2011. During a break from the "Breaking Dawn" set in Louisiana, the actress answered some questions via e-mail, hitting on subjects like working with Cyrus, her most anticipated "Breaking Dawn" scene and what it was like to see Kristen Stewart as a vampire.
MTV: 2011 is shaping up to be a big year for you, coming off all the "Twilight" exposure and now having some prominent roles in "The Apparition," "LOL" and a bunch of other projects coming down the line. Does 2011 feel like it's going to be a particularly big year?
Ashley Greene: Definitely. I'm very excited for it. While it will be sad to finish filming the last installment of "The Twilight Saga," I'm grateful to have so much to look forward to. There's so much going on and so many wonderful opportunities popping up for 2011, and somehow I feel very Zen right now — I'm in a good place!
MTV: Do you have any goals for the year beyond what you're already doing? What would you like to look back on at the end of the year and say, "I'm glad I accomplished that"?
Greene: "Twilight" and my upcoming projects have given me an amazing platform. I'm looking forward to doing as many diverse projects and roles as I can fit in this year! I'm also looking forward to continuing to make strides with mark's m.powerment campaign; it's important to me that I use my voice to inspire my young, female fans to pursue their dreams, just like I did. I'm so thankful for everything in 2010 and am extremely optimistic and excited about how much more can be accomplished this year.
MTV: Let's talk "LOL." We saw a lot of photos of you guys filming on location in Europe. Between "Twilight" fans and Miley fans, did you guys have to deal with a lot of paparazzi and people hanging outside set?
Greene: Miley is a phenomenon — she's accomplished so much in the movie, TV and music worlds that it's not surprising how much attention was attracted during filming. But we're both professional and understand that we're there to do our jobs. Work was our number-one priority, and everything else was background.
MTV: You've become a fashion icon in young Hollywood, and your "LOL" character certainly has a distinctive fashion style. Did you get to pick out any of your outfits? Keep anything? Become inspired by any of those looks?
Greene: I definitely have a say in them, but it's more about what fits my character than me personally. In "LOL," my character, Ashley, wears some pretty outrageous and provocative outfits that I'd never wear in real life! With Alice Cullen, we got to draw on Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O inspirations, which is a bit more me.
MTV: While filming "Apparition," did you and Tom Felton ever compare notes about "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" fans?
Greene: Not so much comparing the fans as acknowledging how incredible they are. We are both so lucky to be a part of franchises that have ignited such a passion in young people. Very few actors get to be a part of that experience, so it's humbling.
MTV: What "Breaking Dawn" scene are you most excited to film?
Greene: Most excited to film and see would be the big fight sequence against the Volturi. As a cast, we like to do as many of our own stunts as possible, so it's fun and challenging to shoot those scenes. Jeff Imada, the stunt coordinator, is such a blast to work with as well. I'm learning so much from him.
MTV: Tell us about Bill Condon's style on set. How does he differ from prior "Twilight" directors?
Greene: "There's no way to describe what it's like working with Bill Condon except incredible! He is so professional, patient and a fantastic leader. I get excited going to set every day knowing I get to work with him. Each director has brought such a different energy and perspective to the films. Bill is very relaxed and authoritative, in a good way. I feel very comfortable working with him.
MTV: Kristen Stewart said at the People's Choice Awards that she filmed some scenes as a vampire. What was your reaction to seeing Kristen as a vamp?
Greene: Glad to have her officially join the Cullen family!
Yep, it's going to be a big year for Greene. That's why we've named her as one of MTV News' 11 to Watch in 2011. Ashley Hinshaw talks about Ashley Greene
Ashley Hinshaw: Ashley Greene is Really Fantastic
JJJ caught up with L.O.L. costar Ashley Hinshaw recently and chatted about the movie and what it’s like working with the 23-year-old Twilight star.
Ashley H shared with us, “Ashley and I, our characters are not friends in the movie she’s kind of the antagonist to Miley [Cyrus] and my character. But Ashley is really, really fantastic, you know she really kind of down to earth. You know everybody knows who Ashley Greene is, off screen but you meet her and you would think she’s anybody else.”

Miley Cyrus And Ashley Greene Shoot 'LOL' In Paris
Miley Cyrus and Ashley Greene have taken the shoot for their upcoming flick "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" internationally. The ladies were photographed filming in Paris, after being spotted in Detroit earlier this summer.
In stills taken on the set, Greene and Cyrus are pictured with various castmates filming "LOL," which is due in 2011. In one photo, taken Monday (September 6), a smiling Cyrus, embraced at the waist by costar Douglas Booth, is standing alongside a pensive-looking Greene and other castmembers Ashley Hinshaw and Lina Esco. In other shots, Booth and Cyrus are snuggling on a double-decker bus, while Greene is on another bus. Booth and Cyrus also were filmed standing on a bridge chatting.
Later, Cyrus, wearing a leather jacket, goes shopping with Hinshaw and Esco, and in another shot, she is alone and soaking wet, running through a puddle. Cyrus and Greene also were filmed walking arm in arm through Paris.
Cyrus has said that in her post-"Hannah Montana" career, she's looking to film more serious, mature movies, and that she intends to take a break from music to pursue her film career.
"I'm working on lots of different films: drama, action, comedy," she explained. "I like challenges, so I'm doing a little bit of everything."
"The more I make music that doesn't truly inspire me, the more I feel like I'm blending in with everyone else," she added. "I'm taking some time off [from music]."
Given those plans, "LOL" seems like a step in the right direction. The film is about a group of young people, led by Cyrus (whose character is named Lola), who try to navigate high school peer pressures and romance in a tech-savvy world. It also stars Demi Moore as Cyrus's mom.
"She's great," Moore said of her co-star, "and I think that she is incredibly grounded. ... [Miley] is a true professional, and she truly has a wonderful family. It really shows."
