Vampire Diaries stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley treated their (mostly female) fans to an up-close meet and greet yesterday at Sunset Place Mall in Kendall, Florida as part of a nation-wide tour to promote the show’s second season. The Hot Topic sponsored appearance (a bit of a downgrade from Vanity Fair, no?) included a autograph signings, a Q&A and a musical performance…plus hundreds of screaming girls!

Somerhalder later tweeted about the interview, “When asked what my favorite band was I said Radiohead- 1000 teens screamed. That makes me very happy.”

And he seemed to be making a lot of fans very happy, too. After kissing one fan’s hand, the teenage girl almost fainted!

Twilight death not suspicious, say police

Police are treating the death of a 23-year-old man at a Wellington cinema last night as unexplained but not suspicious.

The body of the man was found in a movie theatre at the Reading complex on Courtenay Place by a staff member shortly before 8.30pm last night, said police. The theatre had been screening The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Miller told a 5pm media conference the man had no obvious injuries.

He said police hope a post-mortem examination to be carried out tomorrow afternoon will shed more light on what caused his death.

Mr Miller said the man, who lives in Wellington but is described as a "transient" who travels throughout New Zealand, appeared to have gone alone to the 6pm screening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

At about 8.20pm, after the movie had finished, the man was the only audience member left in the cinema and was slumped forward in his chair, said Mr Miller.

A cinema staff member thought the man was asleep and asked a member of security to check on him.

Emergency services were called but paramedics were unable to resuscitate the man, said Mr Miller.

The cinema in which the man died was closed while police carried out a scene examination, but has now been reopened for screenings this evening, said Mr Miller.

Despite identifying the man, Mr Miller said police had not yet been able to contact his next of kin so would not yet be releasing his name.

The Courtenay Place death follows the discovery of an 18-year-old man's body at the Soho apartment complex in nearby Egmont Street yesterday morning.

Fronter Airlines Mascot

I love that this is my hometown airline (used to be Midwest Express) and that it has a Badger (our state animal & mascot of the main state school-the one I graduated from).  But the reporter left out the part that there will be more than badgers on the tails...there will be all different animals on each plane.

Twilight: Frontier Airlines Might Name It’s Mascot “Bella”!

hollywoodnews.com: After Midwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines merged under the name “Frontier”, the airline added a badger to the planes’ tails to placate some potentially angry Midwest Airlines fans.

To involve frequent flyers in the merger, Frontier Airlines is holding a contest to name the badger. The finalists are “Buddy”, “Cookie” and “Bella”.

In a recent post, HollywoodNews.com discussed how the name “Bella” has significantly risen in popularity among baby names due to “Twilight”. Little did we know it’s apparently also risen in popularity among airlines.

Having worked at an airline myself, I can tell you that no airlines, at least when I worked there, named their logo or mascot. Can you image if the “AA” that appears on American Airlines planes was named “Charlie”? Or the flag that appears on U.S. Airways planes was named “Uncle Sam”? The closest any airline has come to having a human name as part of its marketing is the now defunct branch of United Airlines, “Ted”. Clearly, the name didn’t help its success.

By naming the badger Bella, “Twilight” fans will ensure the teen’s household name far outlasts the final film, “Breaking Dawn” (as long as the airline stays around).

Do you believe the badger should be named after Kristen Stewart’s “Twilight” character or do you think the name should remain only as part of the movie?

Here is some information on the Vampire Baseball game from MTV:


“Twilight” stars Peter Facinelli, Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman are teaming up for a special round of Cajun-Style Vampire Baseball in New Orleans on March 20 to aid relief efforts in Haiti. The cast will pitch against a slew of Big Easy celebrities including New Orleans Saints players Kyle Eckel and Lynell Hamilton, in addition to vamp movie veteran Wayne Douglas Morgan, who starred in “The Vampire’s Assistant.”


Tickets for the game start at $25 (there’s a hot tub option for $55!) with proceeds going to the American Red Cross and Hope for Haiti Now, among others. Another kind of bloodsucker—a phlebotomist—will also be on hand for a blood drive. A meet-and-greet with the stars and a party/
concert will follow the game.

Twilight Reality Series?

First, let me say that I have been extremely busy, and slacking...........A LOT. So, there actually may be some double posts for the next few days as I start to get back into things. So, Carrie..if that happens, I apologize, but I am very out of the loop and am just posting things as I read them myself.

NOW, with that said...I am all about reality shows. Big Brother? Hell yeah, count me in! But..doesn't this sort of seem like it is milking the cash cow for all it is worth?? JUST my opinion is all!! So..take a gander at this quick article, and leave us a comment letting us know what you think!!

First, life imitated art when The O.C. became the inspiration for a little reality show called Laguna Beach. Then, Desperate Housewives served as the basis for the original Real Housewives, and now it looks like The Twilight Saga may be spawning its own reality show too.

Once upon a time, Forks, WA was a sleepy little town in the middle of nowhere, but thanks to Stephanie Meyers, who set the Twilight books in Forks, the town has become the destination for fans of the franchise. There is even a documentary about the community called "Twilight in Forks," which will be released on DVD with "New Moon." So its no surprise that reality TV execs have come knockin' on Forks' door looking for the next big reality TV stars.


A Los Angeles-based television production company is holding a casting call in Forks today and tomorrow for a reality show that would star local residents. The casting call will take place at the Twilight Lounge at 81 North Forks Ave. Today's casting call starts at noon and ends by 4 p.m. On Wednesday interviews will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.


If the show is picked up by a network it probably won't feature any real life vampires but it will surely have a few love triangles and cat fights, after all, isn't that what reality TV is all about?

YUP!! You read that right folks!! Because I am a chatterbox, Twitter decided it didn't like that so jailed the @TwilightNinjas Twitter account just recently. That has actually never happened to us before, and that's what I get for talking so much. RPattz And An Ear Of Corn 

The Keeper of the Unicorn Forest even brings the raw sparkly emotion when he's got a lobster bib tied around his neck and an ear of corn in his hand. Look at him smoldering out of his every pore. I don't know if he wants to throw that corn into a fire or seductively breathe onto its neck (yes, corn cobs have necks) like he's ready to suck an orgasm out of it.

That corn just wants to dry up and pop into a bowl of buttery popcorn. Maybe then RPattz will be pleased with it? Who knows, but I do know that I need to see more dramatic performances like this when I go to Red Lobster. We shouldn't laugh and smile over lobsters. We must brooooooood.

Anyway, RPattz did a whole lot of simmering in December's Vanity Fair. The shoot was typical RPattz. In one photo, he's like "Oh hey, look at me! I'm James Dean." And in another, he's like "Oh hey, look at me! I'm using a piano like an ottoman." Etc...Etc....

In the interview with Vanity Fair, RPattz once again denies that he's rubbing on that Kristen Stewart chick. RPattz said, “It doesn’t make any difference what you say to the tabloids. I’ve literally been across the country from Kristen, and it’s like ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’ ”

I believe him. I mean, he doesn't have time to fuck on girls when he's too busy pondering over things like corn.

 

 

Piece Of Trash! 

Here's a few outtakes from Harper's Bazaar of Kristen Stewart, her wig and the Keeper of the Magical Forest getting all close. This is also proof that Kristen can't act her way out of any kind of bag even when she tries. Okay, the truth is, I like Kristen's trash bag gown, but only because it reminds me of one of my favorite homeless ladies in NYC. This one hot bitch always ran around the streets wearing a dress made out of Hefty sacks and Ziploc bags. She once called me a "shifty fag." It really was love at first hate.

Anyway, don't let these pictures fool you. RPattz and Kristen are definitely not bumping taints under the sheets. RPattz is only looking at her like that, because he's picturing her as a giant corn on the cob. Corn brings out of his emotions.
