Kellan Lutz, Spencer Locke to Play Tarzan & Jane in Motion-Capture Movie

Constantin Film’s Tarzan movie has been quietly been in development but is now entering the casting stage.
Kellan Lutz, co-star of the Twilight movies, has signed on to star as the title character and Spencer Locke, perhaps best known for playing K-Mart in Constantin’s Resident Evil movies, has nabbed the role of Jane Porter. The movie will be a performance-capture 3D production.
Reinhard Klooss is directing the movie with Kloos also producing with Robert Kulzer.
Klooss, Yoni Brenner and Jessica Postigo wrote the script, which updates the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs jungle hero. For example, Tarzan’s parents, billionaire adventurers, are now killed in airplane crash rather than being marooned with their child. And the movie’s villain is the CEO of Greystoke Energies, a man who took over the company from Tarzan’s deceased parents.
In the script, Jane is the daughter of an African guide and is committed to the conservation and preservation of the African jungle. She eventually works with Tarzan to defeat the mercenary army of Greystoke Energies.
Lutz plays Emmett Cullen in the Twilight franchise, the last installment of which is set for release in November.
Locke is currently starring opposite Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook in Detention, directed by music video helmer Joseph Khan, and recently wrapped indie drama Anatomy of the Tide.
Lutz is repped by Innovative, Zero Gravity and Morris Yorn.
Locke is repped by APA, TalentOne Management and McKuin, Frankel.

Twilight's Kellan Lutz: I Want to Be in The Hunger Games

Is there anyone who isn't a fan of The Hunger Games?!

Just ask Twilight star Kellan Lutz. The hunky actor says he loves The Hunger Games so much, he'd jump at the chance to be in one of the franchise's blockbuster films...

"I love the script, I love the movie, everything about it!" Lutz gushed to us last night at Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood bash at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood.
Lutz said he's "always been" a fan of the franchise. "I got hooked reading all those books," he said. "I remember before they ever started making a movie, I was like, "I would love to be a part of this!'"
Maybe Lutz could snag a part alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth in the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire? "That'd be really special," he smiled.
As for the never-ending Twilight-Hunger Games comparisons, Lutz said, "I feel like Twilight's kind of more girly and on the romance side and lacks the action and then Hunger Games is very much an action-packed movie that lacks some of the romance."
"But those stories, it shows that you don't have to stick to one certain formula," he said. "If you have these keys ingredients in the caldron it will make a great movie. It's great that there's fans for both of them."

Need a distinctive voice or face to add gravitas or humor to a commercial, cartoon or print ad? Innovative Artists has provided the voices behind such cultural touchstones as Bart Simpson, SpongeBob and "The Little Mermaid," and touts an eclectic voice and ad roster ranging from Super Bowl MVPs like Tom Brady to actors including Channing Tatum, Marge Helgenberger and Jason Alexander. "There's no stigma anymore," says VP Marcia Hurwitz, an 11-year Innovative vet who runs the voice-over commercial endorsement department in Los Angeles and who's adept at placing actors in advertising. "It's all pros, no cons, as long as you match the right talent with the right job." And it's not a one-way street. Innovative also specializes in grooming faces for an acting career, and vice versa. Agency VP Maury DiMauro, who joined in 1999, runs the beauty division in New York. DiMauro matched up-and-coming actress Amanda Seyfried with luxury watchmaker Movado and high-end skincare line Cle De Peau, and reports that the latter involved "a very large contract for their first-ever celebrity spokesperson." Celebrity endorsements and tie-ins with film and TV stars "helps with everything from TV ratings to brand marketing," DiMauro says. He and Hurwitz cite Ashley Greene, whose high-profile DKNY campaign overseas has helped expand feature film opportunities, and her "Twilight" co-star Kellan Lutz, whose Calvin Klein profile "also helped open a lot of doors," he says. This approach is helped by the company's one-stop shop service ability. "Working under one roof really helps as we cover all the areas and can leverage all the opportunities that arise, from cartoon series to movies to CD-ROM games," Hurwitz says. "That's why we now also have a branding and licensing department, headed by Maggie Dumais. It's a very lucrative area -- and growing daily." Dumais, who works closely with agent Mary Dorris, says she's seen "huge changes" in branding and licensing over the past two decades. "The old traditional model is gone, and with the Internet we're now almost reverse-engineering properties," she says. "So instead of trying to develop a property and find consumers, we can see what they're already attaching themselves to."

New York Fashion Week's Hot Trend: Ashley Greene! Kellan Lutz! Nikki Reed!

Stars from the mega-popular vampire saga sunk their teeth into New York Fashion Week by popping up all over the place—at shows, parties and on the red carpet. Forget trying to crown this year's It boy or It girl: Twilight delivered Fashion Week's undisputed It cast!
Nikki Reed was spotted at no fewer than four shows within three days, while Kellan Lutz has been equally ubiquitous (not to mention a big turtleneck fan!).
Meanwhile, Ashley Greene hit the DKNY show today in Chelsea. We caught up with the elegant star for a few minutes and wondered: Are she and her costars planning a Twilight reunion in New York?
"I actually just got in town!" said the busy star, dressed in a sleek blood-red mini (how fitting!). "But I think after all the fashion shows, we'll maybe have a chance to sit down and have dinner."
Apparently, she's already had quite the whirlwind trip. "I got in, I had to do a little bit of work, fittings and stuff like that, and passed out last night. Got up this morning and got ready for this!"
But she's looking forward to reconnecting with Lutz and Reed in New York. "Hopefully our schedules aren't conflicting, though, because while one's not busy, usually the other one is."
Now that shooting has wrapped on Breaking Dawn: Part 2, are the stars able to stay in touch, despite their busy schedules?
"Yeah, definitely," Greene said. "I think it's nice because most of us are based in L.A., so we do get to see each other."
As she settled into her front-row seat at the DKNY show, we had to know: Which of her dashing male Twilight costars does she think is the most stylish?
"Taylor Lautner!" she offered. "He's always so well dressed."

Kellan was Banned From 'Hunger Games'?

While it seems everyone is jumping to call The Hunger Games, "The New Twilight," the people behind Summit's massive fang franchise are doing everything within their power to ensure there's no visible link between the two.
Friday night, Insider.com's Mikey Glazer caught up with Twilight star Kellan Lutz at Audi's Super Bowl party, where Emmett Cullen told us he loved The Hunger Games script and really wanted a role in the film -- however, he was quickly informed by the Powers That Be there could not be any "crossover" between the two franchises
Sounds like Hunger fans will have to look elsewhere for their Finnick!
