ACTION PACKED TEASER TRAILER FOR MMA FIGHT FLICK NEVER BACK DOWN 2 IS FINALLY HERE!

Since NEVER BACK DOWN 2 had its world premiere at this year's ActionFest in Asheville, NC, a couple of months ago, the Mixed Martial Arts fight flick has been eagerly anticipated by action fans all around the world. And finally, the first teaser trailer has been released.

Directed by and starring martial arts expert Michael Jai White, and co-starring UFC Fighter Todd Duffee, MMA Fighter Scott Epstein and UFC Champion Lyoto Machida, NEVER BACK DOWN 2 sure looks to be one hard-hitting action movie.

Films to Look Forward to in 2011

2010 was quite a year for martial arts action in films. British martial arts ace Scott Adkins and director Isaac Florentine scored a huge fanbase with UNDISPUTED III: REDEMPTION. Mixed martial arts films continue to dominate the straight-to-DVD circuit with films like LOCKED DOWN and BEATDOWN. Meanwhile, Donnie Yen continued his reign as the new Hong Kong legend with IP MAN 2, 14 BLADES, and LEGEND OF THE FIST: CHEN ZHEN.
However, there were some misfires, notably two more video game adaptations, the long-awaited TEKKEN and Gordon Chan’s Hollywood film THE KING OF FIGHTERS. Even M. Night Shyamalan racked up another bomb with his adaptation of the martial arts-themed animated series THE LAST AIRBENDER. With the genre moving fast forward as we approach the end of 2010, let us take a look at what films to expect come 2011
NEVER BACK DOWN 2 (June 10 – Straight to DVD)
Can the duo of Michael Jai White and Larnell Stovall make this straight to DVD sequel to the 2008 teen MMA flick the UNDISPUTED III of 2011? White stars and makes his feature film directorial debut as a fighter who trains four young fighters of different backgrounds for an illegal tournament. The young fighters are played by MMA fighter Todd Duffee, Scott Epstein, THE TWILIGHT SAGA’s Alex Meraz, and Australian actor and martial artist Dean Geyer. Stovall, who choreographed the fights for UNDISPUTED III, is action director for this film.

Never Back Down 2

Love that Alex is in the second one, Cam was in the original.

As we have heard through Alex Meraz's tweets, he has been preparing for a new cage fighting role. And yesterday, during the Chicago Twilight Convention, he let the crowd know that the film is titled Never Back Down 2and will begin filming in Louisiana starting this Sunday.

Although the movie isn't listed on IMDB yet, we've done a little digging and have found out some general information.

Cast Along with Alex Meraz, the cast will include Michael Jai White (Gambol from The Dark Knight), Dean Guyer, Todd Duffee, Scott Epstein, Jillian Murray, and Even Peters.

Movie description: Four fighters from different backgrounds come together to train under an ex-MMA rising star and then ultimately have to fight each other and the traitor in their midst.

Also, whereas the original Never Back Down focused on street-fighting, this one will focus on MMA (mixed martial arts).
