Chace Crawford, Jessica Alba and Kristen Stewart hit Sundance 2010
The forecast for this year's Sundance Film Festival, affectionally known as Sundance Twentyten, calls for lots of snow and, unlike previous years, most of the most anticipated films feature talent from the under-40 set. No, it's not like young Hollywood hasn't made its mark before, but they may not have dominated so many buzzworthy films in quite awhile.
The entire HitFix team is heading up to Park City to provide snowbank to snowbank coverage and while there will be tons of events to report on, its obviously the movies that are the big show. With that in mind, we run down the most anticipated films of the festival including Kristen Stewart in "Runaways," James Franco in "Howl," Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson in "The Killer Inside Me" and much more.

"The Runaways"

Public Premiere: Jan. 24
Why: The story of the Runaways, the band that spawned Joan Jett, is a compelling, true-life tale about friendship, deception and, most importantly, great music. Can Stewart convincingly capture Jett’s kinetic energy?
"Welcome to the Rileys"

Cast: James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart, Melissa Leo
Public Premiere: Jan. 23
Why: Executive produced by Ridley Scott, this drama centers on a Midwestern couple (Gandolfini, Leo) who are still haunted by their teenage daughter's death. When Gandolfinis character goes to New Orleans on a business trip, he finds himself becoming the protector of an underage hooker (Stewart) and risking the entire collapse of his marriage and life. While the subject matter is interesting, this Dramatic Competition entry may signal Stewart's return to more serious and darker roles. It may also find itself the subject of a fierce acquisition bidding war.
