Robert Pattinson, Emilie De Ravin Dish On Making Their 'Remember Me' Sex Scenes 'Comfortable'

While the make out scenes (and more!) in "Remember Me" aren't likely to get half as much hype as those in Robert Pattinson's best-known work, "The Twilight Saga," there is still plenty for fans to get excited for. However, when it came down to who was more nervous about filming the love scenes: Rob or his leading lady Emilie de Ravin, Rob was quick to answer that it was him.

Those issues might have all stemmed from his "modesty patch" mix-up. The tiny bit of fabric meant to protect and hide his nether regions during filming had gone M.I.A., and the costume department had been forced to fashion a new one for him out of half a bra and some string.
"They had to, like, tape it and stretch it around into my ass crack. It was quite funny," Rob said while cracking up.
We aren't quite sure how Emilie managed to get by, considering the costume department didn't manage to find her a "modesty patch" at all. Her nerves of steel must have been what got her through the difficult time.
"It's all very glamorous," she joked.
Unlike in "Twilight," love scenes between "Remember Me's" two leading character aren't a life-or-death situation, and Rob and Emilie were allowed to have a little fun with them. And director Allen Coulter was allowed to have a little fun at their expense.
"Allen gave us this whole kind of lecture about how to feel 'safe,'" Rob explained, saying that the director had emphasized their comfort during filming. He quoted Allen as saying, "We've just got a couple of things which, you know, you can use them or don't use them, fine, if it just makes you feel better about it."
Rob continued, "We walk into the bedroom, and laid out on the bed, the art department had got all these things like handcuffs and improvised sex toys made out of hair dryers and things, and every single thing from the costume department, like a top hat and little silk things."
Unfortunately, word on the street is none of those objects made their way into the final cut of the film. Emilie said she doubt they'll be in a DVD extended edition, but we can always hope.
