After wrapping "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse", Taylor Lautner is expected to kick off the principal photography of "Northern Lights (2010)" in early June, so Before the Trailer reported. To support the shooting of the film which will be another starring vehicle for the 18-year-old star, a production office has been opened in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In the same month, Lautner will be likely busy promoting "Eclipse" which is set to be unleashed in the U.S. on June 30. It is not known whether the actor will join the production as soon as it begins or he will come to the set later when he has completed the promotional duty for the third installment of "Twilight" film series.
Set against the backdrop of extreme flying, "Northern Lights" tells a story of four young pilots who compete against the world's best. Tom Cruise was rumored to join the project, but in the end the actor is not among the cast members.
Beside Lautner, Paramount Pictures has not announced who will play other major characters as the other pilots. John Moore, the man behind "Max Payne", is slated to direct the action adventure movie, which is penned by Chuck Russell, David Ellison as well as Duane Adler.
