Not typically one to indulge in the girlier side of style, Kristen Stewart dabbled in a whole new fashion direction when she plucked this Marchesa autumn/winter '10 dress for the Rome Twilight Eclipse premirere - and it's one that definitely worked! Yes, the style might be in Ms Stewart's favoured dark hue, but the uber-feminine detailing is a million miles from the starlet's typical clean lines or rock chick styling.

Kristen Stewart has eclipsed some of her red carpet looks in this stunning Marchesa mini. Stewart wore this black strapless embroidered dress with sculpted satin detail to theTwilight Eclipse Premiere in Italy. We love how this confection fuses the actress’ dark aesthetic with feminine frills.

Kristen Stewart looked stunning on the red carpet at “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Rome Premiere tonight.

I’m shocked and pleasantly surprised that she’s wearing this Marchesa Fall 2010 dress.

Yes it’s a black Fall dress, but I really do like it on Kristen as it’s cute and so unexpected.

The black strapless embroidered dress with sculpted satin detail isn’t something I would have picked for Kristen, but she’s totally working it, so I have to give her a lot of credit.

I only wish that the dress wasn’t so heavily modified from the runway with the asymmetrical hem line and the lining, as we are losing a lot of the embroidered details.

Black satin Roger Vivier heels complete the look.
