Today I wanna talk about an organization called “Royal Family Kid’s Camps“. But I’ll let one of their benefactors tell what it’s about. I just found this declaration from Kellan Lutz to the MediaBlvd Magazine. There, he tell us about the activities in which this organization is involved, what it means to him, and how rewarding it is for him. His words to those kids left me breatheless and now I’ll let him tell us what happened.
“From sunday to friday we organized this camp of a week at the Point Loma University. We have kids from shelters and kids that have suffered abuses since they were really young. They have a lot of problems and have never had anyone, and have never known who their parents were. Some of them had never celebrated their birthdays. So, in the last day, we organized a super birthday party for all of them, we gave them gifts, ate cake and sang “happy birthday to you”. To see those kids crying and excited and asking: “Really, for me?”, is really sad, it breaks your heart. When they call me dad, I just wanna give them a hug and offer them what they have never had. The goodbye is really tough. They cry and they grab your legs and say: I don’t wanna go. I’ve had the best time in my life.
There are Royal Family Camps all over the world. That’s what amazes me. It’s not just a local initiative. There are headquarters all over the country, and also in other countries. It’s an incredible program and it’s so rewarding. I love doing it. I love the kids and I like to share what I have.”
