Chord Overstreet is a newcomer on “Glee” this season, but he is already making a huge impact on teenage fans around the world. The 21-year-old actor made his singing debut earlier this season, but he really impressed viewers last night during his duet with co-star Diana Agron.
“They have me in the shower with my shirt off every episode,” the young actor revealed about his character on the hit Fox comedy. “I’m the Taylor Lautner of TV now!”
As half of the new “power couple” in the New Directions glee club, Chord has taken on a leading role this season. His chemistry with Diana Agron (Quinn Fabray) is undeniable. But while talking with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, Chord revealed that he was initially selected to play a gay character on the show.
Chord told Seacrest that the show’s producers initially intended him to play the part of Kurt Hummel’s romantic interest. But after observing the natural chemistry he shares with co-star Dianna, they adjusted his role accordingly.
Now that Chord’s character is destined to be with Quinn, where does that leave Kurt Hummel? Word has it that Darren Criss will make his debut on episode six as Kurt’s potential leading man.
