And by "the bacon," we mean "an exclusive preview of his new movie, 'Abduction,' and a Q&A featuring fan-submitted questions." Which is just as marvelous as bacon, when you think about it. (No, YOU think about it.)
In honor of Taylor's impending awesomeness, we've spent the past five days celebrating MTV's most memorable moments with everyone's favorite shirtless werewolf—talking about everything from his abs, to his craziest interactions with fans, to his abs, to... um, his abs. Speaking of which, it's time to debut our No. 1 best-ever video featuring the "Twilight" star: an interview that took place between the first and second films in the saga, a time when (gasp!) Taylor's continued tenure in the role of Jacob Black wasn't a sure thing.
Yep, that's right: unimaginable as it is now, there were in fact some hefty doubts as to Taylor's ability to play the role in "New Moon"—particularly when it came to the vitally important moment when Bella crashes a dirt bike, and Jacob takes off his shirt, and OMG THE MUSCLES. But even though Taylor hadn't gotten the official thumbs-up from the studio, he told us that he was doing whatever it took to keep on keeping on as a member of the wolf pack.
"I've been working out since the day we stopped filming 'Twilight,'" he said, adding that he'd already gained 19 pounds of pure
And lest anyone doubted his commitment to the role, Taylor added that he was seriously dedicated to making the fans' vision of Jacob a reality on screen.
"My job for 'Twilight' was to bring 'Twilight' Jacob to life—the friendly, happy-go-lucky little Jacob," he explained. "And my job for 'New Moon' is completely different; I've been looking forward to that. I've been getting ready for it, and I can assure them that I will follow through with that job."
And follow through, he did—as anyone who's ever wallpapered an entire room with Taylor's "New Moon" promo posters and spent hours staring at his beautiful, burnished burliness can tell you.
Not that we have ever done that.
