Kristen Stewart talks Critics..

It's likely you've noticed Kristen Stewart's evergreen eyes staring back at you from the newsstand more than usual lately as she graces several magazine covers this month to promote the November 20 release of "New Moon." Last week it was Interview; this week it's Allure . A different magazine, sure, but there are a lot of familiar themes here as Kristen talks about her dislike for the paparazzi and how fans and critics perceive her.

Though the 19-year-old recently bought her own home, she returns to her parents house often, usually when she's run out of food at her own place. While she no longer lives with her parents, that hasn't stopped the paparazzi from haunting their San Fernando Valley house. "They can’t knock on the door, but they can shoot into your windows and be fully within their rights," Kristen said. "You have to make sure your windows are closed. Right now, there are 15 of them." 

Prying paparazzi aren't the only ones who want a piece of Kristen and her personal life. Believe it or not, the teen actually Googles herself and knows how people perceive her. "The commenters are usually worse than the bloggers," she said. "I know what people say about me. After I come back from this interview, I’ll look up and see what an idiot I looked like getting lost. You can just Google ‘Kristen Stewart, lost, directions.’ Or put the date in. I can’t believe I’m giving away how to Google me.” 

 Kristen also realizes how awkward she can come off. In addition to fumbling her Moonman at the MTV Movie Awards ("Everyone said it was so endearing, but it was horrifying"), the actress talked about her much-discussed "Late Show With David Letterman" appearance where she stuttered, stammered and talked about driving to Russia. "Apparently I was wacked out on speed or something," Kristen said of the reaction. "I feel like if I went and sat down and was like, ‘Hey, how are you? What do you want to know about me?’ people would turn their TVs off and be like, ‘Get rid of this girl.’"

But as much as she seems to care about how she's perceived, she's not changing her ways—or her signature laid-back style—anytime soon. “I go outside, and I’m wearing a funky T-shirt and my hair is dirty, and people say, ‘What’s wrong with her? She needs to invest in a hairbrush,’” Stewart said. "I'm like, Don't you get it? I'm not that girl! Like, I never was that girl."
