Ka-ching! The Top 10 Blockbusters of 2010

So the first decade of the new millennium is retreating into the distance and from X-Men to green ogres, teenage wizards, brooding vampires, webbed superheroes, blue aliens and a modern caped crusader, dozens of movies have made their mark at the box office.
This year was ruled by dreams within dreams thanks to Christopher Nolan, the second-to-last Harry Potter movie, a bombastic sequel, a threequel, a remake, and, of course, the Twilight creatures. But just which big, big movie took in the most money when all of the dollars and cents were tallied?
Dig into our list of the Top 10 Blockbusters of 2010 to find out!
#4 The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Studio: eOne/Summit
Take it home: Click the image for DVD details
Box office haul: $(US) 300M
Why it made big bucks: Besting last year's New Moon, which ended up at the fifth spot, the grittier follow-up saw Bella having to choose between her vampire love Edward and her BFF Jacob, a werewolf, all the while preparing to graduate. Being a teenager is TOUGH.
#2 Alice in Wonderland
Studio: Disney
Take it home: Click the image for DVD details
Box office haul: $(US) 334
Why it made big bucks: Tim Burton found a star in his Alice - Mia Wasikowska - and added his trippy, bizarre touch to the whimsical visuals, including Johnny Depp's VERY Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter's big-headed Red Queen and the adorably daft Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

cineplex for the rest
